i have had my element for 7 months almost 8 and about 2 months ago it started being crazy. Everytime i turn it off it still blows the hot or cold air out depending on which i had turned on. It doesnt come out full force but enough to make you either hot or cold. does anyone else have this prob??

If I am moving, especially driving on the freeway, quite a bit of air still comes in the round vents. I just adjust the temperature up or down. If it bugged me I would close the vents.

All Hondas are like that. With outside air on (recycle air button off) the side vents blow air at the temp you have set. The only way to stop this is:
1) Turn on the recycle air button
2) Switch vents off
I think they consider this a feature.
