I have a Sony portable unit in my work car and need to install XM antenna so I can use it in my E on the weekends. Already have a Terk TRK-SR1 through glass antenna from previous vehicle.

Has anyone used this type of antenna in their E?

Where did you mount it (back glass, side, front)?

How did you route the antenna wires?

Where did you tap into the power and ground for the antenna?

All suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I had a Terk sr1 on my old car, and it fell off. so i got a new one, that one fell off too. so i abandoned that design alltogether.
i think the wires are relatively short, but for my mag mount antenna with 12 ft leads, i mounted it an the top back, and routed the wires through the rear hatch, into the plastic header lining, all the way to the front, and down the A pillar to where i have my receiver unit, in the empty space behind the dash by the steering wheel.
