I'm in the process of shopping for an Element and concurrently selling a VERY Nice restored classic Austin Mini Cooper. I thought I'd start this thread and try to eliminate a step. I'm really interested in using my mini as a partial trade toward an Element. Obviously, a dealer would have no idea what to do with it! Where are you from/where is this car? I know a couple people in the St Louis area looking for just such a Mini... but not sure how far they'd drive

I'm in Southern California and so is the car.
St Louis is quite the drive, however, this car has already travelled here from England. It's not uncommon to have to search for a Mini from some distance away. And as they become harder and harder to obtain, it's almost inevitable.

This is my fourth Mini and over the years, I've learned to do my research and what questions to ask when purchasing a cars from out-of-town sellers. Believe me, shipping the car is the easiest thing about the whole process. In the Mini world, there are a number unscrupules characters. However, there are just as many reputable dealers and mechanics that can offer unbiased opinions and inspections of the cars. If your friends are interested in my car or any others, let me know, I can put them in touch with people who can offer invaluable advice.

I have a Low Mileage 2003 Honda Element DX 4WD Automatic, Nighthawk Black Pearl, with 17,756 miles, and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD Player that was added. Also I'm willing to add a air conditioner if needed, as I can get a really good deal on it from my local dealer AND I'm not sure where your located...but Meadville,PA's service rates are really great compared to the rest of the country...so I could help you out in that regard as well.

Not too sure what to ask for my Element. If your interested we can get together on the numbers.

I'm a non-smoker, car was used locally, have another honda I'm going to be using.
