Also Billboard, you should continue that hood theme to the top of the Element.
martinguyen 05-18-2010, 08:13 PM These are some old pictures. Been too lazy to take new pictures cause my bike has my attention now. LOL! I feel like a traitor.... But I got Tein lowering springs with the SPC and Ingalls camber parts. Some bolt in the front and an arm in the rear. I also cut the rear spring to even out with the front cause the rear only dropped 2.1" and the front 2.4" or something pretty close to that. It bugged me so I chopped it.

This was my girlfriend's brother's Element. We bother had Tein springs, but he didnt have the camber kit and is tires were really worn down when he took this picture. So it looked like a bigger gap.
Darth Raider 05-18-2010, 08:47 PM Martin...I've always loved your Element, "lookin' good!!!"

How much did you cut and did you cut the top or bottom of the spring?

one coil from the bottom. im really anal about cutting springs and stuff, but it really bothered me that the rear was higher then the front. then my friends convinced me it was ok and BAM! cut springs. ive seen my friends do it to civics all the time and a nissan 240sx, and i thought it was absolutely ghetto. but what can i say? i did it too

kitkat123474 06-01-2010, 02:20 PM guess i'll join this batch after i put on my coils :)
martinguyen 06-02-2010, 11:05 AM bump**how was the ride afte rthe coil was cut martin?
well.. lets see what I truly have. I got stock shocks, 255/35-20zr tires, and cut the rear spring to match with the front. it is hella bumpy, super rough, people hate to ride in it, and its terrible on a full stomache.
but... i like the fact that people wont ask me for rides, we always take their cars to save me some gas, it looks better with the cut, and ive got use to the bumpy/rough ride and pretty much like it. plus im stuck with it anyways. my bike is rougher then this so no complaints anymore

SK8nLMNT 06-04-2010, 04:01 PM i just cut 3/4 of a coil from the bottom of my stechs...stiffened it up a little bit in the rear..originally it was quite a bitz bouncier..i think 3/4 was a safer move..as it still dropped it .5-.75 and i still have a 2 finger gap...mind you this is with my subwoofers and rear seats still inside..gf says its better too.
also...basssplayer..is that the SC rear bumper?

Yes it is, I wanted something to make the rear look lower and give it more of a tuner style, just didn't look right before.
seaneyt 06-05-2010, 03:17 AM hey, i just lowered my element, and i have horrible rear camber and one side is worse then the other, but how will i have to fix my rear camber, ive driven on them for two weeks and im showing bad wear.

You need a camber kit. SPC makes them and last I heard clubrsx.com had the best price on them. After you install them or have a shop install them get a full alignment. NEVER lower a vehicle without an alignment.
martinguyen 06-10-2010, 07:26 PM ive worked at a mufflershop for a while now, and we just started doing tires, balance, brakes, suspensions, and alignment. i have the SPC camber bolts for the front, and the Ingalls camber arm for the rear (i think...) even after you install them and get them aligned, you will have to continuously bring it in occasionally to get them re-aligned cause they will shift and change as you drive. i just put my car up today after enough training, and after 8 months of no alignments, the camber went wayyyy negative, and everything else was slightly off (caster, toe, steer).
dont get me wrong, it may have been the people doing my alignment that kept making it go off. i went to NTB and consistently went to the same one before i did my own alignment today. a theory could be that they do a half ass job so i can come back in to make some more money off of me, but its a crazy thought.. but when i tried to adjust, the bolts were super super SUPER TIGHT and made alignment tougher to do, so that makes me think else..

AztecRol - Im keeping the height. I raised the rear a little less than 1/4 inch, but that didnt do anything. It rubs when i hit a bump or a dip. I will take better shots very soon. I just got it aligned too, so my camber isnt off anymore. Right now, there is a 2 finger gap in the front and rear. Im going to get the front and rear sway bars soon too. Ill try to take some pics of the LCA bling for you guys too...

what are your alignment specs? i bought a rear camber kit but i really don't want to put it on lol. Just wondering if it's even needed when i put on my basics. do you have any pics of the rear? or 3/4 angle of the rear? thanks
kitkat123474 05-02-2011, 12:31 AM i didn't check on the rears since i was going to go do another alignment once i get a camber kit for the E...
hopefully this pic could tell you how much negative camber i have on right now....

its really bad..... lol
hionvtecxda6 05-02-2011, 05:16 AM lol yeah that is pretty bad. i guess i'll just use the camber kit, just afraid of having to re adjust every so often if needed. thanks for the pic kitkat.

Burn619 05-02-2011, 11:26 PM Here's mine at -2.6 degrees. I love this shot, I wish I still had my camber set up like this. I raised my E up just a bit from where it was and I just got my alignment done today and I set it to -1.8
