I just bought a Sirius sat radio for my E...
I liked the programming options available on the Sirius network over XM. There are more stations and NO COMMERCIALS. For a few buck more/month it seemed worthwhile.
My Sat radio head unit:

and the Plug and play FM modulator

The signal goes through a FM freq. AWESOME...All this system needed was to be plugged into the cig lighter the antenna wired through dash and stuck on. I placed the antenna on the center of the dash, near the windshield, between the defrost vents and the sat radio unit I installed on the passenger side shelf, next to the aux power. I used double stick tape to avoid drilling holes...although I had to drill one small hole for the ant wire.
I set the FM freq on the unit (4 to choose from) and then set it as a preset on my stock stereo.
For $129 plus tax and $13/month...this setup rocks!
