I have seen posts on this site that say there are drian holes in the floor, and others that there are not. I have an '04 EX and noticed the passenger side floor forms a trough at the front door base. With all of the slush and snow there was accumulation there and as it melted it sloshed around and disappeared under the flooring.

I brought it in to my dealer for some work and asked about this. When I returned to pick it up they said that there are drain holes under the floor, and that I could even run a hose inside to clean the floor.

This does not ring true with what I am reading, so now I am unsure what to believe. What's the real deal here?

Bad idea. Don't listen to them.

After the feedback from EOC I re-contacted my dealer and requested documentation to support his assertion that there were drain holes. He said that he would get with his source at Honda to obtain this support. Several hours later he called me back and said that he had indeed been misinformed and passed bad info to me - there are no drain holes to drain fluids that seep past the flooring, especialy at the front passenger side "trough" to which salt-laden, melted snow/slush loves to go.

He encouraged me to contact Honda Customer Service and complain about this flaw. This has raised his awarenes of the problem, and he promised to provide support as needed to have this addressed and fixed, or maybe to have a rust-through warranty extension (although this would not be nearly as good as a preventive fix).
