I've driven a thousand miles and like my E. Some things could be better. The steering wheel obscures the dash instruments no matter what angle the steering wheel is adjusted to; the instruments are in shadow during the day and hard to read; also the conical lenses over the dash instruments cause the instruments to be obscured at a low sun angle; The "arm rest "on the drivers left could be more ergonomic, maybe dished out and a little wider for an elbow rest; the faint gray on gray radio display is washed out and can't be brighten; the wide "centerpost" of the suicide doors leavea BIG blind spot left and right (fix could be a little parabolic mirror on the corner of the side mirrors). It would be great if the cars manual stated the gasoline capacity remaining at tank levels across the indicator's range. Is there really 3.5 gallons left on "empty"? The knob on the automatic shifter doesn't feel right. Its too small and doesn't fit in my hand. Check out the Toyota's interior for examples of good design. I am not complaining you understand?

On the steering-wheel/dash issue. Have you tried adjusting the seat a bit lower or leaning it back a bit more? Every time I notice problems with viewing the instrument cluster, it's right after I've adjusted the driver's seat for load-in/load-out of big things and haven't yet moved it into my "comfort" position.
