Alas, these are newbie questions that I don't belive were asked/answered in the newbie thread that Emass posted in his General FAQs. I've figured out my equipment needs, but now I need details on how to install.

Can anybody describe for me how to remove the panels/parts in the E so I can get at the stock amp and speaker wiring?

1.) I think that in order to get to the factory amp, I need to remove the glovebox and then the kickpanel that covers the amp. Descriptions or pics on how to do that would be great.

2.) Next, I'd like to know how to remove the door sill. I can pop out the outermost portion of the door sill, but i don't know how to remove it entirely. What's holding it down???

3.) And what's the process for removing the ENTIRE front door panel? I think i need to reroute new speaker wires because I am installing components and the passive crossover that comes with it.
Do I just need to use force and pull the entire panel out or are there screws that I'm not seeing.

And, as long as I'm asking all these questions, here are some more:

A.) How do I extend the factory radio's speaker level wire??? I'd like to use the speaker-level inputs on the aftermarket amp, but i'm not sure what kind of wire to purchase for this extension or whether it would be a millions times easier to just purchase a line-output converter.

B.) How should I be running the wires/cables in the interior of the car without running them paraller to each other?? In other words, how should the power cable and speaker wires be routed along the floor of the car to avoid the introduction of noise?

Phew! That should be plenty for now...

So basically you're asking "How do I become a professional car stereo installer?".

And the answer is here (http://www.ritop.com/).

If you're serious, you'll probably want to become MECP certified. The Mobile Electronics division of the CEA owns and operates the MECP. Schools teach the MECP standard and MECP does the actual certification...

I don't know of any schools in the LA area but I do know that there's a great school in Phoenix...

There's another great MECP page here that might be able to help find schools and test sites in your area:

Hope this helps!
