Seeing as how D2 doesn't make coilovers for the Element i'm gonna say no.
Tein & Ksport are the two companys that make coilovers that are for the E.

The reason D2 came out with element coilovers is this:

KSport vs. D2 difference is the same outside sans the color. D2 takes the design of KSports and some Greddy coilovers and sends them to their Tawaineese manufacturer and they copy them and valve them different and add bearings to the front spring perch to get rid of the pop when turning which I added to my ksports. They are decent quality and are also bad named like ksports because of idiot installers.

Well I stand corrected. I even searched them on Google & found what I thought was their home page & they had no listing for the Element. http://www.d2racing.com/content/products/RS_coilovers

This site lists them. I think this is their main site.

I like the color better, I would rather have purple and black rather than
orange and black. :-D

did you order the bearings from ks or are those the stock ones?

No, KSport does not carry them, I had to go to a bearing supply place and custom order the size, I can get them for anyone, just takes a couple weeks and is $40 a set plus shipping.

Where do the bearing go? Do you have pix of yours installed?
Thanks.

They go in-between the bottom perches and the spring. I can get a pic up this weekend for you guys and install and maintenance in a thread.

I just received this set today from D2. (D2H126) I will post the results once I get them installed. The front springs are 10k and the rear are 13k. Not sure yet If I need a 15k rate for the rear. I had extended my rear top hats 1.75 inches.

The only differences I see is the top mount for the front and color, still haas the short stroke rear shock and short spring just like the ksports, talk about copying, I knew D2 coppied design, but damn, the rears only differ because the purple perches, all well, I hope they work.

When I bought mine it had a TEIN set-up with 12Kg/mm installed. 12 was WAY soft. I replaced it with 14Kg/mm and while it is much better it is not too hard, and when loaded may still bottom out.... If you have a 15Kg/mm option, - DI IT!!

I will be posting results on the new springs within the next 2 days. Also, the front spring pop is not really an issue or problem, it only happens at really low speed tight turning, it is easily fixed, go buy a set of skunk2 or top speed coilovers, they pop to the point you think the front suspension is gonna fall off, I have heard them both, the ksports are very small compared to others, do not let a little pop turn you away. I just drove 1300miles in 22 hours and the KSports held up to the worst roads I have ever seen, I am impressed.

They look exactly like the Ksports aside from the color. On the ksports, all the purple parts are orange.

purple is faster than orange, right?

or is it the other way around?

i do know that purple is a higher frequency w/ shorter wavelength.

The D2 Racing H126 coil-overs are installed_ finally. The install took a lot longer for me this time. I ended up doing others things to my E while the components were out. Anyways, I have to say that I like the ride so far. There are no rubbing issues. I am sitting 15 inches all the way around from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender. I have about 1 inch from the top of the tire to fender. I set the damper about 16 in the front and 20 in rear. I may go a little softer in the rear. There is a small popping sound in front when turning right but my alignment is way off right now. I will be doing that tomorrow so maybe it will go away. So far, it has not bottomed out at all. I drove my E on some roads that I usually take to work. Most of the time I would need to avoid these certain streets because they were jacked up or too bumpy for the ride. There was this one dip in the road that would always bottom out with the other set up I had on before. I will not mention any other brands here but now with the D2s I do not need to worry about driving around it anymore. I also noticed that I do not feel any certain bumps on the streets anymore. The shocks are doing their job and taking care of that for me. I still need to make a few adjustments. I will load it with a couple of people in the rear and take a drive to see if it may bottom out. I will post an update with pictures when I have it all dialed in.

D2 Racing RS Coilover Review:
________________________________________
Recently, I was offered an opportunity of sponsorship by D2 racing to test out their RS line of coilover and could not resist the offer. Since this is my first time around with coilovers, I was not so sure what to expect out of them besides the height adjustment and dampening ability from others who have had coilover before me. I will try my best to give a full evaluation of my experiences with these coilover. The D2H126 looks great.

Install: This is a direct swap. Installation took around 4 hours only because I was using two Honda jacks and some hand tools. No hardware needed for the front from the OEM to D2. The only thing I had to modify was the brake line holder. That is the long flat black metal piece that has a rubber fitting that holds the brake line. I had to drill out the hole bigger to get the top bolt at the bottom of the strut to fit.

For the rear, only the top mount, rubber surround and dust cover from the OEM are reused. They fit perfect. Make sure that the top mount is facing the right way. Leave the bolts a little loose then place a jack under the lower arm and raise it up so that the weight of the vehicle is load
Spring Rate: 10k in the front and 13k for the rear.

Height Adjustment: These coilovers are adjustable from 1” to 4.5” fronts and 1” to 4.5” rear. I still need to measure a stock height E to get an actual reading.

Rebound: Rebound is set from the factory and cannot be changed by the owner. The rebound is set to be soft.

Dampening: This is a 36 ways adjustable coilover. I am not sure, if I will use all of the 36. For my personal liking, I have set the dampening to 18 clicks from the stiffest setting for the front and 15 clicks from the stiffest setting for the rear.

Ride Quality:
-After driving it to work, I feel less of the cracks. Some of the bumps on the road, I did not even feel much of. On this one bump, I used to feel my car hop up a little but now the front just absorbed it as if it was stock. On this one dip, I used to have to let go of the gas before because I would rather lose traction but now it is just smooth. After the springs have settle and proper alignment has been made is nothing but incredible. After the initial installation, I had set the fronts and rear to full stiffness and I must say that these coilovers are stiff on those settings. It rides nice, better than the other brands I was rolling on.

Handling: As for handling so far, it is a very nice ride. On the highways, the ride is fairly flat and soft with the occasional bump when you hit large holes or debris on the road. It is a firm ride and not bouncy at all

Here are a few Pictures of before and after the installation of coilovers on my

My 04 Element is sitting about 15 inches from the center of the wheel to the top bottom of the fender in front and about 15 ¾ in the rear. I have a small bit or rubbing but that is an easy fix. I am running 18’s with a 235/55/18’s, 42 offset. I am still making adjustments of the rear camber. I used a 5mill spacer at the rear at first I have at least 2 inches more to go lower but this height is ok for me. 20s are next. Note i recommend to change the thrust bearings u can find those at Summit online. 2.5 in ID.

The H126 coilovers for the Honda Element is perfect and for a great price. These are the best way to go, in my opinion. www.d2racing.com is the website, go ahead and check them out!

Really love the look of those Coilovers. We have a OBP 2010 SC and are looking to lower it. We didnt really want to have some Orange Coilovers on a white car. The purple and black looks way better. If you had a orange E the KSports would look great. what kinda rubber are you riding on?

k-sports / d2's are junk.

They are just as good as any mass produced crap they put out in asia.

There are so many problems with these with age, the sleeves seize shut, the valves blow, the spring rates arent consistent etc... Granted, I dont have personal experience with these on the element, but I can speak for other many other makes of vehicles. If you are looking to just lower, and not for performance, you may be able to get by with these.

The materials used are cheap, the annodize is cheap. If you dont believe me, go pick up a good set of coilovers by JIC / AMR / BC Racing etc and compare them to the ksport's / d2's.

Go with a good suspension company, lots of reputable companies will provide you with a shock dyno when you purchase a coilover system.

fatfurious2
09-08-2010, 09:42 PM
but theres only 3 or 4 companies that make coilovers for the E. and JIC, etc are not them. The only ones that I know of, ( and maybe others will chime in )
are Tein, KSport, and D2
