These are some funky Japanese head units from Japan that can be imported at www.audiocubes.com

So what do you guys think? Anyone have any experience importing a head unit?

I told my girlfriend I'd use my tax refund to pay for a Hawaii vacation but dang that Eclipse model looks good.

Before you kids start ordering from that site, keep in mind that these units, even with FM converters, will not play all your favorite radio stations so take caution.

Right, the frequency band is narrower in both directions I think. The converters allow the band to be widened in only one direction or the other so you'll either lose some of the upper or lower band - your choice. There is NO converter available that widens it in both ways - period.

Also keep in mind that the station frequencies won't match up even with a converter. You'll have to do a bit of math to calculate which frequencies your favorite stations map to on the new spectrum.

Other than that, those head units ROCK! 8)

Are those laser beams shooting out of the unit in the picture above? Do these things provide a in-vehicle laser show? That would be awesome, as youngsters would say. Blinding, yes, but awesome none the less.
