I'm no expert but I don't think I'm getting the right harness from Crutchfield. They are shipping <<this harness>> (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120701729/Honda-Receiver-Wire-Harness.html?tp=2977). Unlike the Metra 70-1725, you will notice it does not have RCA plugs on it. When I chatted with support and asked them, they said that I would wire it to the regular speaker outs on the new HU and it would convert to line-level outputs before going into the factory amp.
Is this correct? Should I just order a Metra 70-1725? Would the Scosche SLC4 work if the Crutchfield one won't?
If it matters, I'm installing a Pioneer AVH-P3200BT.

If you want the one with RCA plugs for running the pre-amp signal to your factory amp, then get the Metra kit with the RCAs. Don't listen to Crutchfield and their lame advice. The speaker outs on the new head unit won't magically convert to line-level outputs.

Thanks for the info. Since I will already have the Crutchfield harness, is there any reason I couldn't either
Use something like the Schoshe device to convert the speaker outputs on the HU and then go into the Crutchfield harness
Purchase RCA ends to put on the speaker cables from harness to RCA ends. Maybe <<these plugs>> (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062472#). For $4.00 and a little labor it would be a little more cost effective.
And let's not forget if I have to order the Metra harness, that will delay installation by a few days and guess what I want to do this weekend.

Disregard everything because I finally found a Metra harness in town so I'm just going to get that and call it a day.
But <<this post>> (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showpost.php?p=701425&postcount=3) answers both questions a & b from above.

i have a prototype of the subwoofer connector that i could send if you want to try it. i need to send it to someone that is actually doing a radio in an ex/sc NOW and not "when they get everything together" or "get around to it"
