my f-i-l & his brother fully restored it last year.......

(I've seen these sold under a few names & brands, any help, links or references would rock.... ex burro, burrito, uhaul, casita, etc)
No info for you, but that looks really cool! I'd love to see the interior if it comes through for you! Free is a VERY good price.

Foxy's mom 09-25-2010, 07:40 PM I need to get out of this forum. :) That is adorable and will look even better being pulled by an E! :)
Dom.five 09-26-2010, 08:13 AM It's an outstanding little unit! I looked for one several times. All those That I could find were in bad condition. The U-Haul unit was slightly over built ( as are most of the trailers they have ) so it's a good one to find.
Now come to one of our camping meets Pat!
Dom
lifeizgood 09-26-2010, 12:12 PM I had no idea Uhaul rented campers!

Bowzer 10-18-2010, 03:31 PM You siad pickup will be in Kentucky? So long of a trip does this end up being?
Crash80 10-19-2010, 07:15 AM Those U-haul campers are da' bomb. They made two versions, a 13 footer and a 16 footer, with the 16 foot being pretty difficult to source. They didn't make as many of those. You will want to join this forum, it is very informative. Here is some more info I pulled from the below site:
The U-Haul Camper Trailer was manufactured 1984-1985 by the subsidiary company of U-Haul called Rec-Vee World. It was primarily a "Rental" unit available "FOR RENT" from the U-Haul Company. It was decommissioned in 1992, and the remaining units were sold to the general public.
The Burro Travel Trailer is considered to be the father of the 13' U-Haul Camper Trailer and 16' U-Haul Vacation Trailer. Commonly referred to as the U-Haul CT and U-Haul VT. Burro Travel Trailers were manufactured from 1978-1986. U-Haul supposedly purchased original molds from Burro. U-Haul redesigned the molds. U-Haul also designed the unit to implement existing parts from U-Haul suppliers such as the frame, taillights, marker lights, etc. Burro Travel Trailers manufactured by Burro Trailers L.L.C. from 1998-2001 are not associated in any way to the U-Haul Camper

Enjoy that camper, the price is difinitely right.
goosler 11-10-2010, 09:28 PM sorry for the delay on updates guys... it was a hell of a trip, made the drive with 2 buddies......3 days, 1700 miles, picked up a roll cage for a rabbit gti, Makers Mark bourbon tour, Wild Turkey Tour, redneck bar/restaurant/kareoke, picked up the camper & headed home.......
unfortunately work is insane, so pics are limited to dark shots till the weekend.

moar to come soon!! needs a few little things, not much, just personal touches to make it ours & a few things that irk me like mismatched screws or the need for touch ups
Looks great, can't wait to see inside!
lifeizgood 11-10-2010, 09:50 PM Ditto Jojo's comments.
goosler 11-11-2010, 08:21 AM this weekend guys.....need sunlight...
the inside is pretty clean,
all new propane lines were run,
stove top is new,
solar panel on roof is new
battery is new
propane tank is new
tires are new
o.g. uhaul hubcaps are still on it
thermostat is new
leveling jacks are new
the only issues it has are the following:
exhaust fan in the oven hood needs the motor replaced (i think.)
propane furnace is missing (no big deal)
gonna replace the carpet
some of the weather stripping is a little dry rotted (vw stuff will work great)
a few rusty screws here & there.......
NOTHING MAJOR! towed it 700 miles with no issues at all....tracks perfectly straight all the way upto 70 (maybe more lolz)
stay tuned!!
choochmalooch 11-11-2010, 02:52 PM Bravo on the Maker's Mark and Wild Turkey tours. I could make a month long trek into "Bourbon Country" and never get bored!!!!!! My friends and I were going to do the Kentucky Bourbon Festival back in Sept by motorcycle but I managed to crash my bike the week before we were to leave. It's officially been placed on next year's calendar!
We should hook up and crack a bottle this "Jersey" winter.
:food004:
hiker chick 11-11-2010, 07:56 PM Love it!

I gutted the inside over the weekend, threw out all the old crap that was inside....gonna drop in some new flooring, possibly re-upholster all the cushions, depending on cost....I'll try & upload some more pics tonight...Pat
Bowzer 11-15-2010, 03:01 PM Just awesome...I am completely envious. Thanks for reposting.
Please tell me you're gonna put some kind of graphics referring to the E on there...well, unless just going to pull with the Ridgeline shown.
goosler 11-15-2010, 07:06 PM I'll be pulling with both...I plan on redoing all of the uhaul graphics in the original colors.....and once & re-seal all of the windows, I plan on filling them with form decals......I belong to quite a few that this camper will make appearances at... then again, since I make decals for a living, I'm not too big on putting them on my own vehicles....I've already come across another eoc member who is also an roc member over on the fiberglassrv page....smalll inter-web world...
Justinb845 11-19-2010, 08:12 PM look like it is in great shape
hope to see it in person soon
lance 11-20-2010, 11:35 PM Just jumped back in to this forum after a long hiatus - that's a cool looking camper for the E! Congrats!!!
goosler 11-29-2010, 11:13 AM sorry I haven't posted new pics guys.....Been busy with the baby & it's been getting colder, so don't have much time to work on the trailer.....
I have worked on all the artwork to replace the green striping with all of the original artwork....those of you who know me, know that I LOVE original oldskool stuff.......
http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm173/ottogeorge/uhaul%20trailer%20stuffs/DECALS.jpg
Hopefully I get a few warm days where I can wash the trailer & remove/replace the graphics.....
