Anyone in the Raleigh/Durham area willing to help a out with BlingLights fog light install? I have the holes cut in the bumper, the lights temporarily mounted, and part of the wiring done. But, neither I nor my husband could figure out how to fish the wires through the firewall and hook it up. I used the two BlingLight write-ups on here as guides. Neither of the two holes people used in those guides seem accessible from the engine bay and the interior for us. I have a manual transmission ans some of the visuals don't quite match up. Not sure if this is really the problem or not.

Take a look at the picture below of the inside of the Element. The rubber grommet will be what you are looking for. You just have to pull back the carpet/insulation on the left side (driver) footwell. To get to the other side of the grommet you will need to remove some of the plastic wheel well lining. To get the wheel well lining off you just remove the same clips the from bumber has and there are also a few phillip screws. To make life easier you can remover the front driver sides wheel to get more access.

Good luck!!

Thank you very much John!! That is exactly what worked for me. I couldn't gain access to some of the other openings in the firewall. But, with your info I had everything finished in no time at all.

Loving these forums more and more because of all the very helpful people.

Thanks

Hey, Thendara, Welcome!! I see you're in our local area. Be sure to get an EOC decal, and mount it proudly so others may see. And join us for some meet & eat, or camping, if you're into it! :-D
