So says 2 honda customers service reps I spoke with from honda canada.
They say: "never heard of it", " never been a service buliton on it"
I say I: I know an owner who will call you right back and make a complaint.
They say: we do not take complaints from customers, only dealers.
I say: then how do you know there is no windshield issue...
They say: we get the feedback from the dealers.
I say: of all the customer complaints ie windshields?
They say: no only warrenty issues.

Honda's are great I have owned 2.
E's are great (except for the windshield). I want 1.

I will not buy till the issue is resolved, ie 50/50 $ share between dealer and owner to replace a broken windshield with a better made one. Seem fair maybe?
And honda will not do a thing till they are aware it is a problem.

honda will have to care then.

here the demand for used honda, toyota and subaru is real high cause of high consumers reports ratings. thing might change.

Consumer reports is a joke. People who rely on it are very naive.

Exactly. Over the years they've cr@pped on so many good products and "recommended" so many turkeys it's no longer funny. Anyone who continues to harbor the fantasy that they're objective, like you said, is pretty naïve.

I was a "member" when I was in my 20's, and then I grew up.

very much aware of the problem. What continues to befuddle me is the inertia of those with cracked winshields. Honda builds excellent cars but their success has made them arrogant. Think not? The Japanese are brutal negoiators and pride themselves on their inscrutability. Honda's ceo, Hiroyuki Yoshino, is a tough nut. He must smile inwardly at some of the stuff posted about windshields. Of coarse he would not laugh aloud as that would be showing weakness.

What can be done? Here is just one example:

Honda is well aware of the windshield problem. there are TSB's for this problem US and Canada. In the TSB it shows the dealer fix for the problem.

The TSB shows a fix for ONE source of the problem...for cars produced early last year. The TSB does not fix the entire problem, especially for cars outside that production range.
