I have an 2005 E with 70k on the odometer. The shocks are starting to give way so its time to lower it. I do not want to go the full suspension route i.e. K-Sports because of the price. So questions are:

1. If I want to lower it around 2-2.5", what would you guys recommend as a shock and spring combo?
2. If I lower it that low will I need a camber kit? Front and rear?
3. And finally, where is a good place to get all this stuff?

Thanks guys. You always have given me all the information I needed. This time I am starting the topic though

If you are going to lower it with springs don't worry about replacing shocks because you are just going to destroy them anyways. As far as camber kits you will need both front and rear kits along with a full alignment. If you search around sometimes you can find used parts for cheap. I would check out clubrsx.com for the camber kits, pretty sure the will swap over.

I'll check out that site for the camber kits. I need new shocks now because mine are already shot. What makes you say that they will be shot? I mean if I used coilovdrs it would produce the same results correct?

there are not many companies that make aftermarket struts for the E. For example, the civic or integra, is a much more modifyable car, so there are alot of choices when it comes to suspension options. Full coilover systems (Tein and Ksport) have been developed to handle lowered vehicles. The struts should not wear out as fast as OEM or a different aftermarket strut.
