2003 Element EX. Two separate events/three weeks apart. Both at freezing temps in mountains. First crack mid-pass side straight upward from base. I noticed it in motion move up and veer to right toward pass pillar. Second crack mid driver side straight upward from base and veer to left towards driver pillar. I noticed this one after I came back to my parked vehicle in ski park lot. I swear it was not there when I first arrived and parked that morning. I surmised that windshield washer fluid was seepeing down into outer wiper cowl between windshield and cowl and freezing and stressing and breaking glass. Neither crack has star or spider effect often associated with a rock event and on neither event did I hear a rock hit. The dealer refused to cover because there is a small probable rock hit pin mark near the bottom of each line. I've had rock hit/cracks before. If a rock hit started these cracks it was so miniscule I'm convinced it would not have cracked the typical car windshield. Any input is appreciated.

Keep pushing your dealer and talk to honda. The like to do a pen test on the crack, but I am pretty sure that the chip is an effect of the crack rather than a cause. It took a year for me to get a new windshield, and I only got it as a goodwill gesture, they never considered it a stress crack. I know we are beating a dead horse here, but come on honda, stand behind your product. Your glass sucks fix it.
