Hi all, just joined today.
I had a couple of questions regarding installing the Sirius SNYSC1 Interface and SIRIUS SCC1 Connect Universal Tuner for my Sony head unit.
I have to tap into a 12 volt source and found a bunch of info here for the Add-A-Circuit product. That seems like the best way to go. The only thing I'm concerned about is that most of the threads say to use the #18 slot which is the front panel 12V power source, which has a 15 amp fuse.
The Add-A-Circuit is only rated for 10 amps. Is it fine to go ahead and plug a 10 amp fuse in the 15 amp fuses place? And if so, will my power source still work for charging a phone etc.
Also, does anybody recommend a metal surface behind the dash to attach the ground wire to.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
