I recently attempted to install my Pioneer D1, I bought the harness double din dash kit, and the antenna adapter. I tested the deck and the radio works fine, however when I try to play CDs no sound is coming out. Does anyone have any suggestion on why the radio works and the CD player doesnt?
Thank you

Did you try any other sources like sat radio or ipod or the navi voice??
If you hear the radio but nothing else, its a problem with the Pioneer.
Maybe you got a bad one out of the box. Its rare, but it happens.
Keep us posted.

you have the power antenna wire hooked up to the amplifier turn on rather than the amp turn on. this wire loses power when a cd is inserted as a power antenna/antenna amp doesnt need to be energized when the tuner section of the radio isnt on. swap to the blue/white wire from the radio rather than the blue and you should be good to go.

Of course!!! See us Home Theater guys dont worry about amp turn on. In our
systems, once the Pre Amp comes on, the amps come on, source doesnt
matter!!!
Thats why he is called Yoda, he knows his car audio!!!

Thank you very much Yoda!!! I will try to switch the wires and let you know.
