I keep seeing where people here refer to their vehicles as an Element J or an Element Y or what ever. What does the J or Y mean. I guess I just don't have my thinking cap on and can't figure this one out. Please explain.

I don't know either, but I think it refers to the Canadian Elements. Instead of DX and EX they have J and Y i think...so is this it, eh?

The element Y is the canadian ex. I think the element J is a screen name.

Hawaiian E is right. It refers to the Canadian version of the Element. :D

Element Y-Series is our Canadian EX. Element-J is the screen name of a gentleman who has done some mods and kindly shown as a how-to on his website.

Okay, so if the Y=EX, what does DX=?

I don't think that the dx does equal anything. You can get the element of the element Y package.

I think they are referring to the chassis code, which is found on your VIN. If you look at my sig, you will notice I have a YH2, which is a 4wd EX

Nope, sorry, according to the order codes I received from my dealer, all Elements have a "Y" at the beginning, as does the Pilot.

I feel stupid for asking this, but what does SOP stand for?

Sunset Orange Pearl - it threw me when people started to refer to the colour as SOP as well.
