Hello:
I recently installed my XM Delphi Roady. Currently I have the XM antenna on my dash board and it is working without any issues but the directions say to keep it out side and away from windows. Does anyone know if there are any issues with it mounted on the dash. Seems ok so far.
Please let me know.
Thanks.
M.

I have tried it both ways. My Sentra has it's SkyFi antenna mounted on the inside, on the rear deck, between the rear speakers. It's the big one and I didn't want it outside of the car. My wife's Commander antenna is mounted on the roof of her Element, centered, right at the top of the windshield. Her's is much smaller so I didn't mind installing it outside. I personally have not noticed any more or less dropouts with either installation. I'd say, if you like where you have it, drive around for a while and see how it performs. If your happy with it, leave it there. - Bill

Mounting the antenna and hiding wire on the E was so easy I went with the top. I live in WV the land of NO terrestrial repeaters so drop outs are worse here than other places. With the antenna on the top of the car i get few drop outs. I have mine mounted on the back under the regular antenna.

Mine is mounted right above the windshield. Piece of cake to run the wires. The new antennas are much smaller than my mine (I bought my Skifi last July).
