Couple questions.

I have installed a doubledin pioneer cd navi ipod hook up etc unit in my 04 element... I want to run the stock sub that comes in the ex, will my head unit power the stock sub or do I need to get an amp? What size amp if so? How would I wire it to stock sub to amp?

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but if you have a stock sub then you should also have a stock amp, correct? If you want to keep both, then you can indeed run the sub via the amp in a couple different ways.

If you are impatient and willing to get into the wiring, there are a couple of stickies at the top of this topic about wiring up the stock amp.

The OP has a DX that they want to put the sub from an EX into. And there is no metra harness to put an EX amplifier into a DX, it is for retaining the stock amp (with original factory wiring) in an EX when using an aftermarket radio. Thanks for playing though. ;-)

A little amp like this one would be just fine for powering the stock sub, it just isnt really an "upgrade" for those who already have the stock amp. make sense?

yessir...

i ended up buying a 300w kenwood amp..

o also got consol installed, its a huge pain in the ass... but thats mainly making sure everything is wired correctly...
