I'm considering ordering one of your "108-Element SC - Rear Full Large" mats for my 2006 EX-P that I have fitted with the SC console. What I'm hoping to have custom made is this:

I have a pair of the "slot covers" made by Ursa Minor.

Slot Covers (http://www.ursaminorvehicles.com/accessories.htm)

Would it be possible to have a pair of matching carpet pieces made that I could glue on top of the slot covers? I'm picturing a piece of carpet cut to the same size as the top of the inserts, edged just like the mat and made from the same carpet.

That way, when I've got the seats up or out, and the inserts in place, all areas are covered with matching carpet.

I currently have a home-made piece of carpet back there with cut-outs for the seat bases. When I put the inserts in place, they become the only "slick" area back there. Numerous times when traveling with my black lab, she seems to find a way to always have one paw on the slick inserts, so a quick stop sends her skidding slightly, and she winds up with a paw under the carpet.

It might not be a bad design if they could figure out a way to have a flap that's attached to the rest of the carpet that you can lay flat across the Ursa Minor inserts when the seats are out, or fold down into the recess when the seats are clipped in. That would be a little more seamless, with a cleaner look and still work even for those who don't have the Ursa Minor blocks.

Thanks for checking in. We can supply you with a piece of matching carpet that you can cut and glue to the Ursa Minor floor inserts. We've done this for other customers in the past. The best glue to use for this is 3M contact cement.
We can also custom make a rear carpet for you with no cut outs. The reason we don't offer the attached flaps is the inside cut outs have custom bound edges, and you would have to bind the flap edges also. Our carpet sets are high quality and too dense to fold the flap under the cut out.
The next problem is holding up the flaps while lowering the seats in the slots. It's hard enough for some people to raise and lower the rear seats, let alone having their hand get caught by holding up the carpet flap.
Feel free to PM me or contact us at South Coast Accessories if you have any further questions.
