: New E owner in the Bay Area! Fiji Blue w/ Cloud Rider grill
Well I had my E for about 2 weeks and I LOVE IT! Its a nice 2004 ex. So far i just put some PIAA HID's bright whites, the Cloud Rider grill, K&N drop in filter and broadway mirror. I plan on replacing the stock speakers, some fog lights, and maybe an exhaust. This site has been very helpful for buying my E and maintaining it. Thanks for a great site and enjoy the pix!

lae10851 03-07-2004, 02:53 PM I have an Injen cold air intake, and the armrest with storage. I would like to do something with the exhaust. My main priority is finding a place to drive it Monday thru Friday. (Employment).
Amy
yea i really need that arm rest. Im 6'5 and when i go inside that puny armsrest looks like its gonna break lol. Did you feel a big difference with the Injen intake? Im debating on getting one but i dont want to void the warranty. Yea the job market sucks here in the bay..Im working over at footlocker while i got to state(SJSU)

lae10851 03-07-2004, 09:25 PM I did notice gas mileage was improved. Im more worried about getting a CARB # than voiding the warranty. Someone told me Hondas rarely need warranty work.
LOL
Amy
If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the cloud-rider grill. I only found one place that sells them online and they're backordered. And checking the cloud-rider site was no help in trying to find one.
on a side note. nice ride!

i just called it in. It got to me very fast. btw amy, i decided to go ahead and get a direct air intake. Im trying to decide between k&n's typhon or the AEM. I'm hoping to get a discount on either of them since my lil brother works at a autoshop. I just want to impore the gas milage anyway i can. Im averaging 20 mpg but i drive a lot. So i need to fill up every couple of days.
thanks again for your input

ervenwill 03-13-2004, 11:41 AM Amy, you mentioned the CARB number for the injen intake. I visited their site and it seems you have to go through quite a bit of work (proving purchase, acquiring through the dealer) just to get that number. Have you done this yet? Sounds like a pain in the butt... but my MO emissions inspection is creeping up this fall...
lae10851 03-13-2004, 11:45 AM The CARB # for the Injen CAI has not yet been obtained for the Honda Element Model. This means if you have an emissions test, your car is operating illegally. All you have to do to get the # is fax or email a copy of your invoice and they will give you the #. I tried to get it, but was informed the # had not yet been obtained. A check of their website shows it is not yet on the list.
Hope that helps!
Amy
