: pic request from K-sport owners
fatfurious2 04-16-2011, 06:41 PM fellow K-Sport Coilover owners, do you have a pic of the front upper camber plates already installed and aligned on your E? Im getting ready to do the install possibly next weekend, and I dont have the money to do an alignment quite yet.. Im going to try to get it aligned by myself, before I take it to a shop.
I just want to see what your settings are.
Thanks
fatfurious2 04-19-2011, 09:49 PM no one has anything?
12MPGlol 04-20-2011, 04:34 AM I don't have a picture, but I did have to get mine aligned right away. It butterflied out in the front BAD.
Stibox 04-20-2011, 10:08 AM The plates on top are for caster only. the camber bolt is hard to see unless you pull off a front wheel .
I think there a picture here on the site for the stock bolt camber that will you use with the Kports. Also don't put them with an alignment. I'll and get picture for you too.

Actually, the plates are for camber. The adjust from the fender well toward the
engine, or vice versa. This is confirmed through this site as well as the Ksport
website. Here is the quote from the Ksport website:
Pillowball top mount with adjustable camber (not available for some models)

fatfurious2 04-21-2011, 03:51 PM so i guess its not a good idea to do the install, and then not get it aligned for at least a week or so. There is a huge car show on May 1, that I want to go to. But i wont have any money for an alignment until the following week.. I might just suck it up and do the install, and do minimal driving until I can afford an alignment..
Thanks for the pics and info guys

fatfurious2 04-26-2011, 12:33 AM well, the box is lowered. Im getting a performance alignment on saturday. I will try to get some shots of how it sits now. It is basically the same specs as 12MPGLOL had it when he sold me the ksports. i have lots of positive camber in the front, as well as some toe.
Pics will come soon, either to this post or to the pics thread... check back soon

Positive or negative camber?? When you lower a vehicle, you generally get
negative camber. How do your wheels sit, if you look from the front of the E?
Like this -> / ----- \ = negative camber or
like this -> \ ----- / = positive camber.
fatfurious2 04-26-2011, 02:37 PM it definately has positive in the front, and negative in the back. it also has toe in the front (looking down on the car the wheels are pointed away from the body like \ - / and looking at it head on, the positive camber is like \ - / as well). I used the same settings as 12MPGlol. I will be adjusting them over the next couple of days, before I get it aligned.
Today, I drove to work and it started rubbing in the back.. So the rear is going to go up a little. I do like the slammed look, I just have to get used to driving slow around dips and bumps. I can just barely put a marlboro light 72 box (i think its about 2.5") between the gas bar and the ground.. so that is how low it is..
overall, it is very bouncy ( I am going to play with the height a bit more though..). Im getting used to it. NOTHING like the stock suspension
