I want to put Momo Winter 2 rims size 17X7.5-114.3 45S - Discount tire got them for 103 a piece. What is the recommended tire size should i get? Rubbing, gas mileage, noise, and harsh ride are big factor for me.
Now the other question will be:
1. Never driven any E with 17s, is the ride better in terms of noise, harshness, handling?
2. Did you notice any gas mileage change? good or bad.
As for my stock 16 EX wheels, I want to mount a Michelin X-ice2 - but only available in 225x70x16, will that work? is there a better size?
Thanks in advance! I did search btw but most comments are about the look.

I can answer the sizing question. I have 18s on my E, so I cant speak to how 17s are in comparison to your stock 16s.
Will a Michelin X-ice2 in 225x70x16 work?
Short answer is yes, no rubbing, no issues. Here is how it compares to OEM tire size:
When speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 61.2mph (98.5km/h): 2% faster.
Package is 5 mm (0.2'') closer to suspension/brakes components. Acceptable for most cars.
Package will stick out 5 mm (0.2'') farther. Acceptable for most cars.
Will fill out the wheelwell by extra 7 mm. Acceptable for most cars.
As for the MOMO rim, I dont see that size. If it is a 17 X 7 with the bolt
patter of 5 X 114.3 with a +45 offset, it will work with no issues. I only see
a 4 X 114.3 and a 5 X 112 bolt pattern in the 17s. I do see a 16 X 6.5 in
the 5 X 114.3 with a +45 offset. Got a link to the one you want???
Here are the tire sizes you can use with the 17 rim:
215/65 R17.
225/65 R17.
225/60 R17.
235/60 R17.
None of those tires above will rub or cause any major issues with your speedometer.
I cant speak to noise or gas mileage.

Thanks for the response, you are right - that was a typo on my part, it's 17x7

I forgot to ask, with the Discount tire TPMS rebuild kit they sell in the pkg, will it works just fine or do I have to get and hopefully fit an OEM TPMS?

Yes, those will work just fine. Not sure why they didnt show up when I checked, probably has something to do with the zip code.
You do NOT need the rebuild kit, do not buy it. The rebuild kit is for moving your sensors from your wheels to the new ones. If you
are going to use your old wheels for winter, keep them in there. You will have to have the brain reset every time you switch wheels so
the TPMS in the wheels you are going to use will work. You will need to buy 4 OEM TPMS sensors. Dont buy the generic ones. A few
people have reported that they have trouble with them working, not just here, but on other Honda Acuara forums that I am on.
Check with your local dealer to see how much they are. If you need a list of online dealers, let me know. You can try getting a hold of
Trevor over at HandA, they are a site sponsor. I dont see them on their website, but he may be able to get them, and at a good price.
