Another Long Islander here...just got my E a week ago...its nice having another vehicle with a 'cult' following ( I've been into VW's for a while now too )

CCRider: I used to do alot of mountain biking in Rocky Point, but haven't been there in a while...It may be time to get out on my MTB again...

Great to hear from ya...check out www.visionmtb.com. Great Long Island site for MTB'n. Super active with group rides posted all the time. I normally ride 2-3 times a week, mostly Rocky Point during the open season. Register at the site and check it out.

If you aren't riding you're missing out. :D

My screen name is the same on that site too. I think there are at least 4 regulars that have Elements now...lots in common.

Its funny, I live in Rocky Point, I'm roughly two miles from the trail head on Route 21...I used to go alot with a friend of mine until he tore his knee to shreds,( required a load of surgery and therapy ) and then had children. I have a '96 Gary Fisher collecting dust here since I haven't had anyone to ride with. I have to get the permit again and a new helmet.

We should get toether for a Mountain Bike ride and Element meet. Name a Saturday and I am there...

Make sure someone brings an oxygen tank for me if we're riding Rocky Point...I haven't ridden my mountain bike there in nearly 3 years and might have need of medical attention :shock:
