I have owned my E since 2004. Been a member since 2006. I currently market the sunshades for those who have the sunroof. I was testing the waters to see if people would be interested in a custom shade for the windshield. It rolls up and stays closed just like the sunroof one. The windshield shade would be a custom fit as well and have the "Element Owners Club" logo on it with black lettering. The screened logo is made with heat resistant paint that will not melt. Since the "logo" shade is custom, I would need to have a minimum of 30 shades produced and screened at a time. If I have enough interest. I will have Larry add it to the EOC store. The price would be $39.99 UPS Ground shipped in the U.S. There could also be combo. Both, windshield(w/logo) and sunroof shade for $70 UPS Ground shipped in U.S. I enclosed a picture of what it would look like. Now your E can look cool and stay cooler. Let me know what you think. I finally can see the sun today in NJ. My daughter, who is turning 5 this week says " Dad, it is hot back here now, please put up the shade." It is amazing how time flies. It seems like yesterday that she was in a rear facing child seat with the sun beating down on her. Now she wants a cell phone. LOL. Doodelement

Right on. You could probably get them made, put them up in the shop and be suprised at how much better response you get when they are actually tangable.

Like the idea but price is too rich for me.

Windshield Shade update - Going ahead with first production of 30. Making 20 for years 2003-08 and 10 for years 2009-11. Will have them in the EOC store soon. not sure about the description...
so, it attaches w/ suction cups, like the sunroof one?
or, it gets held up by flipping the visors down?
and after you remove it, you can roll it up?

Sorry for any confusion.
Windshield shade does not attach with suction cups. It is held in place with both sun visors. Yes, when not in use, it rolls up for storing.

Here is a picture of the shade with the logo. It is a rough photo. Shade is complete with black border stitched around side. Comes with velcro strap to secure when shade is rolled up and stored. Looks the same as the sunroof one rolled up as in second photo. Thanks, D

DoodElement: I was just reading your description and noticed that you have different versions based on model year. What changed in 2009 that caused you to alter the design? Thanks!

chelement3 - I believe the windshield difference is very minimal between the 03-08 and 09-11. Could be as little as a half inch or so. I think the difference may be in the interior bolsters along windshield. I am sure either one works the same. Manufacturer just advised there was a difference when I placed the order. Thanks, D

OK. By the way, the sunroof cover is great! It's a good fit and really appreciated by the back seat passengers.

I got mine the other day and I love it!

Does look very nice. I just made a DIY one out of RV wrap. Its crude, and will probably not last long. Hopefully these are still around when I have to replace.
