Does anyone know the manufacturer of the Element EX head unit? I'm thinking about replacing it but would like to compare the specs of the Element OEM versus the aftermarket ones. And, has anyone replaced the OEM head unit with the double din sized Pioneer unit (both CD & cassette)? Thanks for any help. Bill

The EX head unit is made by Alpine for Honda and the quality is much lower as far as sound goes than after market Alpine products. I installed an Eclipse head unit with the same speakers that were with the ex system for about a week and right off the bat the sound was much brighter and detailed.
