I just wanted to let everyone know who bought a Car Cover from Jerry at South Coast 'E'ccessaries that the new Clinching Hold Down Clamps he's selling are totally "AWESOME!!!" Out here in SoCal, we have strong winds called the Santa Ana's. Sometimes when I have my ride parked in the drive way and the Santa Ana's kick up, they are strong enough to dislodge your car cover. These clamps can withstand winds up to 40MPH, now that's really something!!! They're not only great for your SCA Car Cover, but also your motorcycle, your jet skies, or even your boat. These are probably one of my very best purchases! "Thanks Jerry!"

Here's what they look like.

Getting really to put them on.

Spread them out from the front of the car to the side of the car.

Do the same in the rear.

Clamp on to the middle of the front.

Then the rear.

Then connect the sides, and now you're ready for the 40 MPH winds!

I bought these exact clips at the local dollar general. four come in the multipack that includes 12 other clips, only costs 4 bucks per pack and all the other clips/clamps have great use.

I've seen the cheap imitation of these, and as the old saying goes..."you get what you pay for!"

Eh I suppose, about the only way I see either mine or yours failing is not enough material between the clips to get a solid lock. Either way I never thought to use them in this fashion, finally have a good use for those clips!

Jerry at South Coast 'E'ccessories is not just a sponsor on this site, he is also a MEMBER of the EOC. He bought one of the very first 2003 Elements that ever came out, and is the former owner of the 'House of Stewart' van conversions. This is a true gentleman who has been in the automotive business for over 30 years and absolutely loves the Honda Element. So any product that he offers has been thoroughly researched for quality, durability, and application. Jerry stands behind everything he sells, so you can definitely buy with confidence. His products might be imitated, but I can seriously promise you that they will NEVER be duplicated!
