I want to put in a mount for my Karma MP3 player, but don't want the AUX cable going from the mount to the In port in the passenger dash. Does anyone know of a way to reroute the AUX in under the dash so it's hidden? Thanks!

Have you had any luck with this? I'm looking to do the same thing with my DX. I don't really want to cut a hole in my dash if I can just pull a longer cable down to the floor behind the panel.

Does the DX stereo have an aux. input? If so, this wiring diagram may help:

It's in the FAQ in the Mobile Electronics forum.

Welcome to the EOC, by the way!

My DX had no stereo and no aux input jack. I had an Alpine installed that has an aux input. I have my rca to 1/8th inch cabling all straight and i'm looking for someone with info on how to snake it through the dash. I'm hoping to get it through with minimal dash panel removal.

If the aux-in is behind the head unit, you can probably remove the headunit and remove the sub-shroud (oh right DX, remove the center column lower storage shroud) and drop the rca cable through the hole up top to come out in a place you can grab it from underneath.

Thanks, Brendan
I was hoping to get it through there without removing anything but I imagine I'll have to. Does that storage shroud come off easily?

Yeah. There are two push-pin-release clips on the rear bottom part of the shroud, on on each side. Push a paperclip end or jewelers screwdriver into the small circle in the middle and then you can pull out the clips. The shroud can be removed then.

Before reinstalling you'll need to look carefully at the clips and reorient the two pieces into "install mode" where the push pin is pulled out.
