Meguiar's Natural Shine Protectant Review

Car is Element = 2011

bought this at walmart yesterday. $4.87

put it on in the shade. i thought i had full coverage as well. looked nice

next day i look at vehicale and all along the top rails it looks as if it rained, as it didn't seem to adhere well.

i also noticed that this product wasn't forgiving. if you missed a spot, that was noticable as well,

around the side mirrors it was a mess, more poor adhesion and bleed. this was where is was the worse

around the rear bumber it also ran, but it wasn't the product..it was something else.

I thought meguiar's was suppose to be great stuff,..this product seems on par w/ armor all and a crapload of other products that looks good going on but don't last.

i just touched it up today to see if it was my application that caused this.

update:

I made the toucj ups on the spots i missed. 2 hrs later it rained, and it made a mess of everything. looks like somebody took/poured a glass a milk to my black panel trim. make magtters worse,..it ran into the edge of the window glass's and the glass itself

i've succeeded into making my new 2011 black exterior trim look worse.

this us unnacaceptable. this product seems like an interior option only.

now i have to find a way to remove this garbage. i used a damp rag and got rid of some of it, but there's still some there.

what is the product i should be using for the exterior trim to make things right? this stuff certainly isn;t it

. . . i've succeeded into making my new 2011 black exterior trim look worse. . . . now i have to find a way to remove this garbage.

When I went to Magiliars website to see the application instructions, the only place that it was listed was under the interior car care products section, where it says it "includes mild cleaning agents that help remove daily dirt and grime and restore the original, natural finish. "

I distrust any product that claims to restore a natural finish, becasue unless they remove the deteriorated finish, they can't At best they leave a coating that isn't as durable as the surface they "protect".

Personally, I'm partial to 303 protectant for keeping clean new exterior and interior plastic looking like new clean plastic. Other people swear by waxy coatings like Back to Black, which leaves a shine, and resists wash off like, well, wax.

Whatever you choose to use, if you want the result to have an even looking appearance, you need to get the plastic completely clean of any cr*p that's on it. I'd do a 24 hour peanut butter mask, a thorough washing, a wax removal paint surface prep and another washing.

i am not putting peanut butter on my trim.

my wife thinks i'm enough of a looney, already.

i really think this trim stuff might be a muti stage thing...

1. clean

2. apply

3. wash/spray down excess

4/5. dry off... damp dry

i think the 303 might be the better choice....the b2b stuff is similar stuff to what i used and quite a few already went through what i did w/ it. i hope i'll just be spread it on and have no problems
