man, this morning someone stole my radio from my element !... I dont care too much about the radio... its the freaking window thats got me worried ! how much is a replacement driver side window? the insurance will cover it, but its a 500 deductible ! Im better off buying one. and getting it insalled... any one know where I can get a window? :cry:

Hardly. The stock radio requires you to re-enter the unlock code even if you fart... or so it seems. It's a doorstop now.

This sounds like a druggie theft - something he thinks he can hock for $10-15 bucks. That's the real pi**er - $500+ damage to get at something that would cost you $150 to replace, that nets the jerk pennies.

And people wonder why I don't "do" downtown events here. :roll:

Front window costs $116 from Majestic. Replacement yourself is not impossible, but you'll want to have panel tools, and final adjustment will be "challenging". My SWAG is roughly $400 to have the dealer replace it. Then there's the issue of the dash damage.

thats not my radio... Im in Houston, and that ebay auction started in Boston. Well, I found that the dealer has to "special order" the window for $179.00, then pay 15% for overnight. So, Im looking at 205.00 to install it myself. I just might do that... thanks for the concerns peoples ! :wink:
