I want to install my motorized monitior/DVD player in my E, but it looks like the monitior will block the 2 A/C vents when it pops out. I was thinking I could reverse the mounting location, i.e. putting the radio UNDER the pocket, this way the monitor is lower. Do you think this would work without any problems ??

Ive seen it done on other Element's - it shouldn't be a problem.

just trim a little ABS off of the bottom screw mount to match the top and flip it.

At least the Metra install kit can go pocket up or pocket down - doesn't matter.

Looks just as bad either way. :roll:

(The Metra kit doesn't curve with the surround, so the bottom sits back about 3/16". Looks sloppy, IMO.)
