: Who's E?
Who's We CEO 03-17-2004, 08:55 PM Just got this ugly thing everyone has been busting my BALLS for. Oh sorry I don't know if BALLS is allowed or not. I am sure that CAPITALIZING it did not help, but for what it's worth, I find peace amongst all of you element owners. why?
cause we get it. or we got it. either way, people either get it or they don't. Now everybody that told me I was crazy for getting it is telling me... "wow I never thought one of those things could look so cool" WHAT EVER!!! it's there it's all there, I fell in love with it when I first saw it. and congratulation to all of you element owners. In this world there are people.. and sheople. You know who we are!
I own a creative mutimedia studio, http://www.whoswestudios.com and well I have to tell you that this car just does it for me. I have owned every vehicle I have ever wanted. As a matter of fact, I have several vehicles including a long body 760IL. So money is not the factor here. Guys... I LOVE MY DAMN ELEMENT> It is the most fun vehicle I have ever owned.
OK enough about that let's cut to the chase. I dont know if you guys are going to like what I am doing to it, but I will tell you this, it's going to be insane. I have a pic here with just phase 1 to it done. As we speak the total ticket has surpassed 69k in labor and parts. I AM SOOOOO DAMN EXITED TO SHOW YOU GUYS I can't wait!!! I promise you guys you will see this baby in a few magazines. I feel like a KID AGAIN!!! sorry got carried away huh?
ok here is a pic. if anyone wants to see more behind the scene stuff let me know and I am sure I will be more than glad to share. ( what a geek!) lol
and I also have some pics of her big Brother. Our SICK H2 from hell.

SCREWaerodynamics! 03-17-2004, 09:23 PM $$$$$69K!?!?!??!?!
man, share the wealth!! HAHA, J/K
umm....not sure if that's a typo, but regardless you better post pics soon or peeps gonna be angry at ya for talking smack.
oh, btw, welcome to the forum!!
Who's We CEO 03-17-2004, 09:43 PM No typo.
I figured an X5 4.6 would set me back around 65 or so once I get done with the extras. and what do I have? an X5 just like EVERYONES...
Or I could have bought the Porche Cayane Turbo for 10k more and been out 75 or 85k and what do I have? ... well you get it.
LOL
This way, I spend 20k or so on the car and spend another chunk on making it like no other in the world. PLus I already love the crap out of it before we got jiggy with it. So there you have it. that was my logic. It also keeps me out of the dog house with my wife. I start her off with... Hey Let's look at this X5! and once I get her to accept the amount.. I GO BACKWARDS!! HEH!
Oh I sure hope she does not get online anytime soon and somehow finds this link! LOL
Anyhow, there you have it. Oh and yes I will upload as many pics as You wanna see. I have tons now but I am an idiot and have not figured out how to upload pics. What an idiot!
Oh yeah, I dig your screen name!
brendan 03-18-2004, 02:08 PM You're still keeping us in the dark here! What mods are you up to???

JeffN 03-18-2004, 02:19 PM Awesome site!
Who's We CEO 03-18-2004, 03:10 PM I have no clue. I know this, I will be ordering pay perview from my ride. 15 in plasma touch screen custom gui interface designed by my company in conjunction with another company that manufactures on screen control centers for major systems. This will control everything. Rear mirro will be replaced with wide screen 7 in monitor. Docking station fiberglassed for my ipod which will all be controled by the gui control system. 2 dvd sources, satellite source and some other stuff i have no clue what these nut jobs are doing. Exhaust and brembo stuff custom exhaust will go through the rear bumper so that is being modified and molded. Kinda like in the X5's. mmm... let's see... we have absolutely covered EVERY SQUARE INCH of the car with sound proofing Dyna. seats are being redone now as they will case the amplification for the system. I can't really explain it without showing it. Believe me I will keep you guys informed as pics arrive. As a matter of fact we are documenting everything so it will be fun. I am going tonight to shoot some more and see progress. haven't seen it in a few days.
The most important part of this incredible job is that it will remain FUNCTIONAL. Lots of parts are being metaled and machined, other's are being treated for every day wear and tear, like the annoying plastics that get scratched easily. well you get the pic. hope that helped.
the labor really and all the crazy detail done inside will be insane.
Hawaiian E 03-18-2004, 03:24 PM nice...i like the EBP better though. Here is your picture that didn't make it in the original post:

lae10851 03-18-2004, 09:48 PM LOL
I think its crazy for anyone to be (IMHO) dumb enough to spend that kind of money modifying a car like this. I wish I had that kind of money to waste, but it would take me a few years to make that much.
LOL

Who's We CEO 03-19-2004, 02:18 AM A friend of mine once asked me if I would pay to see a man do sick things to a horse as we were walking down the Red Light District in Amsterdam.
Wait... I know I was going somewhere with this. Anyhow, what I am trying to say is that I am not going to be that 92 year old guy in a death bed wondering what the look was on the horse's face. I will pay the 20 bucks you know?
So having said that, I AM DOING IT!
lol
Life is about just that. LIFE. so LIVE! Do not be afraid to do things that seemed reasonable when you were 18. You know... Save up 6 weeks so that you can afford a front spoiler on your brand new hooptie. It made you feel GREAT! THat's why you did it.. you felt ALIVE!
Remember when parents use to carry us around and fly us like airplanes and all that jazz? We still enjoy that. Problem is you would have to find yourself a 20 ft giant to carry you and trow you around.
Someone was not ready to let go of his childhood and began creation of the first rollercoaster. why? cause it makes you feel alive.
So this is my ROUND 2! THE REMATCH!
And I have to tell you; something tells me that everytime I order PAYPERVIEW MOVIE while I am driving down some scenic route in Hawaii I WILL GET OVER IT! real quick!
isn't it great to be alive so you can do (IMHO) things? What ever that means. See? that's how dumb I am I dont even have a clue what that means.
Hey Hawaii I take it you are in Hawaii! I am moving there in May!
should I?
lol
Oh and what is an EBP?

A lot of people make comments about the money thing. I gotta tell you for what it's worth, I was born around it but what I got I got through my sweat, blood and tears. I have more than paid my dues eating alpo and crackers when times dictated survival come first. My money is just a bi-product of my passion. and what I do with the money is usually spend it on my passions. Which at the moment I have to tell you is this damn Element!
So far we have changed the entire skeme. But I beleive we have a final direction.
We were going to do Car audio stuff and get all this crazy car audio stuff, but I decided that since I am such a computer geek, why not just go all out and build a network inside the damn thing. So we can play BATTLEFIELD 1942 and Medal Of Honor, and all that stuff kids like to do! Ooops! i said kids huh? oh well I guess you have to be some kinda kid to find justification in all this. It's all about perspective.
Oh and guesswhat? I finally figured out how to upload my pics here so I am just going to go find a few pics of the progress and post them cause I would love to hear comments. I think I will have to put it in the stereo section or something I am not sure.
be back in a few.

OK I have a bunch more from this week with all the updated mechanized arms and all the new crazy ideas we came up with. in this pics we were just dealing with the connections on the monitor for rear view mirror. Oh and yes dynamatting the entire car. We even dynamatted the entire top, sides, hood, back, I think I even dynamatted a few body parts!
I wil upload the other ones tonight.
Have to go meet with my Computer guy so we can figure out this network thing.
SCREWaerodynamics! 03-22-2004, 07:49 PM it's hard to tell from how and what people write sometimes...but hope you nor anybody else take offense to what i wrote. (at least that wasn't my intention) it's just from my personal observations of who i know (and who i'm related to.... :? )
and damn...that is some serious dynamating you're doing there. is that you in the cap?

It's an IMPOSIBILITY for me to take offense. But now I have to ask...
who are you related to? lol
Oh and yeah that was round one of the dynamat. So far we really have covered everypart of the car with it in the cabin. Headliner is comming off cause I decided on individual 19 in. monitors for the rear and so the headliner has to go under the knife!
Ouch! Just burned my self with my cigar! duuh!
Anyhow, So I had a hard time deciding on wether or not to go PC or Mac since I am a big Mac head but the gamer in me wants XP so that I can play hard!... I am really going to dwell on that all night. Any comments?
Again, I was concidering the PCs because of the gaming selection.
The list of equipment goes like this so far:
Two 19 in. Sony Monitors
One W7
Two sets of Focal separates
Two Audisson amps
One 8 in monitor for control Center
One Glide Touch pad system
One 6.5 in. monitor for rear view mirror monitoring
Three P4 3.4 Ghz PC's with 2GB of RAM and 256MB Radeon 9800 XT Video Cards
Three DVD Super Drives
Wireless capabilities. ( could you imagine going on a road trip and having your friend with a wireless laptop play you on the road from his car?) MAN I AM SUCH A CHILD! Oh and also it's cool cause when I pull up to the house within 150 feet, I am online from my network,or my office, or Starbucks... you get the picture.
The DVD's will be over each back pasenger so they will have thier own control. All PC's can be controlled just from the front so that my kids don't go crazy you know?
We are moving the temperature and AC cool gauges stadium seating style over the driver's head. Hard to explain but the pictures will clarify my stupidity.
Where the sub WAS, there is a mechanical control center arm with navigation screen that will come out and pop out transformer style. ok ok ok .. enough about this. If you guys want to hear more let me know, cuase I Don't want to bore anyone with all this crazy mumbo jumbo.
I almost forgot!
We took off EVERY PLASTIC BLACK PART in the E which was scratchable.
and guess what...? NO MORE!!! you can put a knife to the car and it won't scratch! well I am jumping ahead of my self. Actually the company that is doing this for me thinks it can pull it off. They will treat all the plastic with a 16th of an inch coat of this cool stuff that you can't even cut with a knife if you wanted to. Anyhow, this really will aliviate all the stress related to the carefreeless interior. I can honestly tell you that if these guys pull this off... oh I will be very happy cause I am so anal about scratches and stuff.
Keep your eyes busy. <--- that belongs to Pancho!
Doing anything to the outside?
How about the alternator?
Keep us posted with as many pics as possible, I love to see work in progress.
Thanks
bOOmEr03 03-23-2004, 05:40 PM damn, with a list of mods that long, when you finish you may hold the record for most mods on an E! in the EOC!
Do keep posting the pics!

I am pretty exited about it. As for the outside mods?
we are going to run dual ehaust through the rear bumper like the X5
some minor molding to it so it looks agreesive but that's about it. Brembo breaks ofcourse, and what ever is out there available for performance. I really didn't know but every one is telling me to put a supercharger in it. So I am just waiting for some advise from the right people here when i get this thing done. That will be the next step. To do the performance upgrade. we were going to do another engine but then it wouldn't be my element! It would be something else. So... having said that, I am willing to do what ever it takes to maximise the one inthere without sacrificing functionality as well as long term performance. I really don't speed at all as amatter of fact I have never had a speed ticket, BUT I do like to feel more power on the vehicle.
So there you have it.
Information Through Stimulation
hownowcb 03-23-2004, 09:46 PM It's just like he says: "It's all about perspective." To that I could not possibly add more! And be glad. LOL.

boneheadz 03-25-2004, 11:50 AM any chance you could post more pics of the seats and console?
Who's We CEO 03-25-2004, 11:57 AM [quote:659852b9c4=" "]any chance you could post more pics of the seats and console?[/quote:659852b9c4]
The seats are getting redone now because I did not like the way both have different skins. If you notice the driver is much different than the estethics of the passenger. So we are customizing them both to be identical. The enclosures you see out of wood will go in the seats and they are just for molding prototypes. the finish product will look and feel like the outside of the car matching it's paint perfectly. Around the amp will be a small halo looking protective glass enclosure that will remain open to the touch but protect all of the necessary stuff while also giving it a floating look. Since we are redoing our site to the new version 2. I will change my color scheme to red as opposed to the branded Blue. The seats will wrap around the anclosure exposing only the parts of the amp we want to show. These amps are also sent out to get re-plated and powder coated to match the outside and interior. The console will be also made of stainless steel and will house the navigation system that will come out of the old Sub enclosure and be at hands reach. The old armrest along with the console that housed the emergency break is removed. The emergency break has been motorized and will now be operated by a cool button on my control center. We need all that space for the custom fiberglas enclosure that will hold the custom touch pad mouse tha twill control the PC network. The spare tire will be the only thing in the vehicle I lost as far as functionlaity goes, because I have never needed one. And I will need this room to deisgn the enclosure for all 3 PCS's networked. Rear Passengers will be able to enjoy a good game of Medal of Honor runiing on a LAN with the person next to you or me in the front! The rears will have 20 inch flats and I will use an 8 in in the front. The rest of the car will remain not only functional but CARE FREE from scratches or maitence stuff. What's under the spare tire is all I lost.
The headliner is being replaced with triple stiched microfiber suade. Looks like some weird carbon material but it's suade and it looks RUGGED! I hope you guys don't butcher my spelling! So take it easy on me. any other questions? oh wait I never answered yours. yes I will be taking more images here in the next few days. We are very exited about all theinterior parts we sent out, cause we are getting themall Line Xed. and treated for sctratches and all that jazz.
This way it will REALLY BE AN ELEMENT that will laugh at sharp edges and surface scratches... HA! I lauff at you scratch!!! I look at you and then I laugh!
HA
Oh one more thing.. Have you given any thought about how cool it will be for me to take a road trip with someone, and give them a wireless laptop so as long as we are headed inthe same direction we can play games with each other in LAN????
Oh yeah it makes me... WELl.. never mind. you get the picture.
And yes I will have total wireless access!
I know I know.. what a child. Beleive me I have already heard it all from my wife!

so you want to talk about your E and all your mods...just do it, no one's goign to stop you unless you violated some forum rule or something....
as for the 675 lbs thing, for whatever silly reason the E can only carry an extra 675 lbs before it becomes "unsafe" i suppose. at least that's what it says on the sticker instide the front passenger door.
myabe it's a suspension issue? i dunno...anyways, the topic has been beaten to death somewhere else on the forum. you should probably search for it using "675" as the search term.
bOOmEr03 03-26-2004, 10:45 PM i mean any time you are gonna put mods on a car it changes the limits and balances of the stock car.
im sure you will be fine.
anything particularly viscious planned for the engine, perhaps a turbo kit?
how about dropping it a few inches too? any plans for that?

I AM WAITING FOR A SUPERCHARGER.
I didn't want to lower it because the wheels that I put in it really filled up the gap nicely and still gives me the clearance I want in case I need to jump a curb you know?

BELIEVE me I have nothing better to do. As we speak or write... I am in the process of finding a company that wil manufacture 3 micro MB's for the PC's. We don't have much room, so we don't want to use big ones. I think we may go with some Shuttle boards. I was going to go MAC on the car but I will just be upset everytime I want to play a game that won't be out on the mAc for months! that sucks! so I am forced to go with PCs. I don't have anything against PC's other than I HATE THEM! and I use them for my business because my guys SUCK!!!! and they hate the mac! they are all scared little girls! LOL

MikeQBF 07-23-2004, 12:17 AM ...well... maybe I do have some idea.
I thought "Who's We..." was blowing smoke up our skirts then, and still think so today. That he/she/it hasn't shown-up in four months doesn't do much to dispell that particular notion.
Well, during the project he did provide a site with build pictures and equipment, whether it was his or not I can't say but the E was dismantled and some custom parts were being built. I’m just curious to see the final result.
cotton 07-25-2004, 01:42 PM He did provide pics, but unfortunately, the link that was provided no longer worked and we're left with a cliff hanger
Would have been nice to see the final product.
