i'd like to install Infinity Kappa components in the front and Infinity Kappa 6.5 coaxials in the rear. Will these speakers perform correctly using just the factory HU and amp or would they lack sufficient power?

Would this system work correctly if I then installed a Infinity basslink sub in the rear?

If I install all the above mentioned items, what would the next step be in upgrading the system, HU or amp?

Last question, if i install all the above mentioned items, could I disconect the factory sub and gain more power from the existing factory amp to drive my door speakers?

The infinity compnents should perform fine.

The system should work correctly if you install an Infinity basslink.

The next step in upgrading the system would be IMHO - a HU then an AMP.

You will not gain more power to the other speakers by disconnecting the factory sub. An amp is not like a water pump - if you disconnect a channel the extra power does not get distributed to other components - the extra power simply goes unused.

Thanks so much emass for the response. I just wanted a confirmation. You really do a great service here. The Eclipse head units seem to be rated with twice the power as all the other brands. Is this an accurate rating?
