Dear All,

I live in San Jose, CA, and have been looking to upgrade my 2008 EX AWD to a 2011 EX AWD in Omni Blue Pearl for several months now. I think this bluish white is just beautiful. All the local dealers told me that Elements have been sold out for months because Honda never resumed their production after the tsunami.

I found this 2011 EX AWD in Omni Blue Pearl at Bill Alexander Toyota in Yuma, AZ. The address is 889 East 32nd Street, Yuma, AZ, and their phone is 928-446-4536. If you go to their website, http://websites.dealershipids.com/balextoy/ , you will see it listed under used inventory. The car has only 6k miles and it is stock # 3508.

Would someone please help me inspect the car and take detailed photos of all the imperfections (ding, dent, scratches in both the exterior and interior), wheel rashes, etc.) and send them to my private email address. Please PM me and I'll give you my email address and phone number. I'm willing to compensate you for your trouble and expenses. If someone can help me on this, I'll be forever grateful for it.

Happy Thanksgiving....

Charles

Charles,

There is a detailed video walk through complete with a personal phone number and email address of the guy selling it. What he missed in the walk through is it has mud guards, console cooler, rear spoiler and front tinted windows which usually means even the rears have been tinted with a darker shade than stock. The tint is normal for desert areas, even my 07 SC had tint all around and I did an 800 mile round trip to pick it up in Mesa AZ.

Id call and make sure to triple check there are no exterior or interior damages and that the rear spare tire cover is either in hand or on order and comes with the E. If you were to make the trek and pick the E up today I would add the stipulation that the spare tire cover, if not in hand and with the E as we speak, would be shipped to your door. Id also get this in writing. The fact that cover is off may simply mean they just did the inspection and detail which is a good sign.

Other than whats been covered, I dont think anyone visiting the E will be able to do much more than whats been done and covered. If someone does, it would just be money and time spent. The seller can get you the exact close up high resolution pictures you ask for including the wheels. With the low mileage it will have a Honda warranty as well so triple make sure thats in writing as well. For me, no Honda warranty, deal killer.

Fact is, they are asking HIGHER than new for a used car and thats the internet price? I would keep shopping if they wont work with that price.

Thanks Robbs for your reply. The problem here is that I simply can't trust what a car salesman tells me over the phone. With my experience of used car purchasing, I often find that their definition of "excellent" condition is often far different from mine. The photos on their website are not going enough to show details.

Basically, I need someone to take some good detailed photos and do the first inspection for me so that I can make the decision if it is the right car that I'm looking for. If it is, then I can deal directly with the dealer. Of course, I wouldn't pay for their asking price either. The fact that this is not a Honda dealer makes thing a little more complicated.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help on this.

Or buy this new one and have it delivered. You would probably get a good price if it is a new 2010 that has been sitting in the lot a while.

I LOVE how the mileage is N/A!!! LOL!!! I bet that was a demo vehicle. I also
will bet that it has more that 5K miles on it. Because it has never been registered,
it is "technically" a new vehicle. If it was a new, never driven E, they would
post the mileage. If it were under 500 miles, then it has been test driven, but
not "demoed", and they would post the mileage. My 2 cents.

I cant believe the price for a used E!!!
No navi and 24K miles and they are still
asking close to MSRP!!! Crazy.

I called them and they said it is a loaner for their customers and it is not for sale. They said their system automatically picks up everything in inventory and post it on the net and it needs to be taken down. This must be a very rare color. I've been looking for one in excellent condition for a little while now and can't find it. Thanks again for everyone's continued inputs.
