I am going to have the following system installed in a couple of days. What do you guys think about the choices?

Eclipse 5443 HU
Eclipse PA5422 Amp
Eclipse 6.5 3-ways in rear
Infinity Kappa Components in Front
Eclipse Graphic Equalizer

The Local installer is quoting this at just over $1000.00. Am I going wrong with this deal?

I think all those choices are good except the front/rear speaker selections.

I personally dislike the sound of Infinity and so I'd look to put something better in the precious front soundstage. Also, I'd probably just put midbass drivers in the back doors just to fill in the sound back there.

I agree with Emass. Infinity speakers are ok, but not that great. You'll see some people in here using CDT's from www.thezeb.com for $150 for the CL-61a. They're supposed to be good, and a steal for that price.

I probably should switch out the Xtant for smaller amps so that I can stealth them from idiots, but it looks cool and will be sitting in the car for a little while longer while I'm still shopping. :) But congrats on your way towards being a mobile audiophile nut. :)

P.S. - you haven't listed which sub(s) you'll be using and also, you probably dont need a graphic EQ if you're buying that Eclipse HU - it has a lot of the EQ adjustment and also has features like time alignment, etc.

Right now I'm planning to keep the setup fairly simple and use the Infinity Basslink for a sub. Thanks for your guys input, iit was a big help. I should get it installed tomorrow.
