Looks like the E did its job. The crumple zone took all the
impact. As bad as the E looks, Im guessing the deer looks
worse!!! Hope your insurance takes care of you. Keep us
posted.

Looks like the deer hit high enough so it did not deploy the air bags. If it did fire them, then the insurance co. will usually total a car that age.

Good luck. Glad you were not injured in that impact.

My wife went deer hunting with her 2005 CRV. She hit the deer at about 30 mph. Did $2,200 damage. Right fender, hood, grill and windshield. I'm glad I took the nose off the car a few years back to add a tow package. We tow the CRV 4 wheels down behind the motorhome. The heavier steel supports kept the vital working parts safe. She is happy to get her Honda back. The rental car was a 2012 Impala and in her words a piece of crap.

I think it did 6,000 or more in damage it was a few months ago, but it wasn't enough to total it.
