Ok, so I have been planning on installing an Ursa Minor E-camper on the new Element I am looking to buy. This installation was in the plans for my '08 EX, but I totaled that and am now looking for a replacement E.
My '08 did not have a sun/moonroof and the one I am looking to buy does have one. I won't have the money for the E-camper for a year or 2, most likely, so I figured the moonroof would be a good option to have until that time comes.
The dilemma: What do I do about the sun/moonroof being in the way when I try to install the E-camper to the roof of the car? Do I just replace the entire roof, or install the pop-up right on top of the slider? Other options?

Skelement, the E-camper was designed to use the stock (4WD) Element sunroof. So unless the car you're looking at has an aftermarket sunroof in front, you're good to go. Even if it does, Ursa Minor can probably handle that.

I was under the impression that Ursa Minor performs the E-camper installation at their facility.
Thread moved from 'E'cessories forum.

It's not clear from your question if the moonroof is the stock Honda OEM moonroof found on 2003 to 2008 AWD/4WD Elements, or an aftermarket sunroof installed over the front seats. If it's the OEM moonroof, that's perfect as that is the hole we use as an access way.
If it is an aftermarket sunroof, we would need to see some photos of the installation, preferably with a tape measure in the picture so we can see where it is located on the Element. Generally, ANY aftermarket sunroof installation would prevent us from converting an Element, but we can look at it on a case-by-case basis.

The stock sunroof is in the rear. And is used as the port hole to get into the ecamper. You cannot install the ursa minor ecamper yourself, it has to be brought in and they install it. The roof has a CF board on top of it for the ecamper.
If you do not get a stock sunroof ursa minor will cut a hole and install a port hole for the ecamper.
Or you get a roof rack camper from autohomes or something....
