Dear fellow OC EOC members,

I tried to posting this in the shopping forum to no avail hopefully if I post it here I will get a little more feedback.

First of all I want to thank all the members of this board for all the info that they have passed on to me over the last few months that I have been researching the box. Now that I am ready to purchase I need your help.
I will be purchasing a 04 EX AWD Auto. I am in the OC/So Cal area and have been doing my homework mostly on EOC and also edmunds, cars.com, invoice dealers etc.
The best quote I have gotten out the door ( price quoted is invoice + delivery + fees + taxes.)after extensive negotiations is $21,400 w/Penske Honda(ontario). This price does not include any extras.
I just wanted to get an opinion/comments from fellow EOC members that have purchased in the OC/So Cal area and see what they have payed and what experiences they have had with there dealers.

One last question is after purchasing the car I will be sticking it on a boat bound for germany. Do I still have to pay the DMV registration fees??

Thanks in advance for all the help and assistance,

H

I've been shopping OC/LA this past few weeks too.

that price (21.4) seems good to me.

i've emailed a bunch of local dealers, and for a model 276 (ex 4wd mt sab), i've been quoted between 19.7 and 19.2 before taxes (which should be about 1.8k), so my equivalent price for the same car manual rather than auto is so far about 21k. i haven't finished my negotiations, so maybe i'll be able to drop it a bit more, but more realistically i'm really hoping to get them to throw in fog lights.

i'm sure i'm not doing quite so well as you since there are so few manuals in socal.

i don't know about export, though! did you try the dmv website?

I bought my 2004 EX 2WD without side air bags for $18,900, before tax and license.

Dealer is on Beach Blvd., in Huntington Beach.

I got a great contact at Autoland here in Chatsworth. Autoland is a credit union auto buying service (although you don't need to be a member) that will do the shopping for you and will give you the best price for what you exactly want. Send me a PM if you want his name and number, until then check out www.autoland.com They got invoice and MSRP prices on that site and the Autoland price will be not much more over invoice.

In late January Suzanne Copsey at Lancaster Honda, Lancaster, CA (scopsy@laautogroup.com telephone 661-945-3521) said her price for a 2004 EXS AWD automatic after destination and dealer fees was $19,762. This is invoice plus $40 for destination AFTER ALL FEES.
