Anyone know of a product that will remove hard water spots from my windows? Apparently the water here in SE Louisiana is loaded with minerals. The front windshield is unaffected, but the other windows and side mirrors are covered with water spots that I can't remove. I've tried vinegar, CLR, Sea Spot Go and numerous other products - all to no avail. I even asked the guys at the glass shop to try some professional product they use when I was there to have a chip in my windshield fixed. Its very disheartening to look at my 6 month old baby and see nothing but spots all over the windows. I do use RainX regularly but nothing seems to remove these stubborn spots.

You can use "No Touch Auto Glass Stripper" which I bought from WalMart. I use it to prep the windows before I put on Rain-X. The product is a heavy-duty cleaner to take off "silicone, wax, bugs, oily mud and road tar and hard water spots."

I use Griot's Garage Fine Glass Polish (http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog.jsp?&SKU=11063). It works great!

Malialou,

I recommend Stoner's Invisible Glass (you can usually find it at Pepboys, Autozone, or Napa) and Klasse All-in-one (http://autopia-carcare.com/kus-kla-10.html). Both have been great for me.

You could also try some Glass Polish (like mr_ed proposed) with #0000 steel wool.

Good Luck,
Joey

I'm suprised that no one has mentioned diluted white vinegar...cheap and effective
