OK, I'm one of those yutz's that drive around with the dog in the back seat. I know she's gonna be plenty p/o'd that the back windows don't open, but that's her problem. My problem is finding a seatcover for the back seats to save them from wear and tear. Any suggestions?

I had the same question awhile ago, and someone suggested checking out Wet Okole seat covers (http://www.wetokole.net). I plan on getting a set of rear covers that will match my official Element front seat covers. At least as closely as possible. Waterproof and easily washable are a must for my australian shepard. He loves to go swimming and then get in the car before I can dry him off... Hope this helps.

Let us know how much it costs for the wet okole seat covers when you get it. Right now it has to be custom made right?

Great looking front seat covers on our E. Problem is that our kids sit in the back seat. Are there any sources that resemble or match the E front seat covers? :?:

I got those Type S cushioned seat covers. They don't cover the whole seat so bungees and seat belts and LATCH anchors and releases are visible and available. I just noticed they are dirty from my kids climbing into car seats. So protecting my seats from kids and as well from the carseat itself. Got them at Walmart but Ive seen in other places. 8)

Has anyone found back seat covers that will fit? I would prefer one that covers the entire back seat (including cupholder). My great dane will appreciate any suggestions as he has grown weary of accidentally inserting his foot in the cupholder.

I know that wetokole makes seat covers for both the front and back of the element. The only problem, they're real expencive. Check out their website at www.wetokole.com

NYArtist I was wondering if you ever got the wet okole seat covers, and how well they are holding up to your dog. Thanks

For a quick fix, you can try www.petedge.com . Search for rear seat covers, there are three models to choose from and are inexpensive and washable. You must note that both seats must be down at the same time as these are not individual seat covers, just a bench type cover but it works great. Item # zw61977 $14.99

I am planning to get mine done today. I heard my friend said that the owner of the company making the seat cover had an E as well loaded with everything for show purpose. I will check it out later. I believe those seat cover cost quite a bit because they are custom made.

Maybe I'm missing the point here, but if your dog travels with you a lot, why not just pull out the back seats. You could put a dog bed in back for your pup, when they aren't looking out the window. I would worry about, in the occurence of a car accident your dog being up on the rear seat, put them at higher risk for injury, than on the floor. That is unless your dog wears a seatbelt while traveling.

I have a rea seat cover I bought at PetsMart that I really like. It was about $43 but is fits well and is waterproof. It's number on thier site is 302249

http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444177 8446&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023689&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302032886&bmUID=1104161914539

It has elastic to hold it in place and matches the interior pretty well.

I'm happy with mine.

I ordered my wet Okole already and I will get it install in the first week of January. It cost about $600 for set of four. I order the one with piping and the logo said (Element by Wet Okole).

Just checking to see how you like those seat covers, and if anyone found any that were less expensive than $600 (unless those come with $200 in cash inside them...ha ha).

I just bought my 2004 EX E last month and use it for mobile DJ'ing. My equipment fits great but I can see where my hand truck will dig into the back seats when they are folded.

My seats came with covers ;) If they should get warn, they are $308 to replace from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ . I hate to spend $250 for the Wet Okole to save $308.

I didn't find any seat covers on that web site for my E (I did just wake up, so maybe my eyes aren't focused yet) :)

I think I'll just get some type of bag-style thing made of cloth or rip-resistent material to slide over the back part of the seats so it's protected. When I'm not working, I can just pull them off.

Just recently purchased a Element EX and wondering how people with dogs have covered their back seats. I noticed the All season seat covers aren't sold for the back and wondering if Honda has any seat covers for the back or what people have done to cover the back.

Would it be easier and perhaps more comfy for the dogs to just flip up the back seats to the sides? I plan on doing that for my dog when my E arrives.

Just a thought...perhaps that's why Honda only made the front covers...who knows...

Dave.

You can try looking at www.wetokole.com They make custom seat covers for all types of cars, and might be able to help with the Element's back seats.

Dave.

ps...found them on their site, they retail for about $250.

Thanks! I read that thread a few days ago, but I didn't think twice. Everyone was talking about front covers for the side airbags. So today I search the links and found this....

 $249! For seat covers? Forget it.

I have a set on my 2000 ranger.....waterproof....and no stains for 5 years now....The bright red insert has faded a bit

Great product.......will be on my option list as soon as my E comes in

Look at the pictures of the rear seat...the hard plastic areas between them are covered also....

and just a heads up they take awhile to get it....smaller than the seat a bit so they stretch and have no wrinkles.....your E will look great after install.....

Get the cleaner and UV protection with this...when I ordered they were options.....

Do they make a cover for the aftermarket arm rest for the front? the one with all the extra storage>?

Anyone ever hear of seat covers for the rear seat when the seats are in the "stored up" position? I want to keep the free of dog hair when hauling my dogs around.:)

Check the big pet store chains, we got a dog specific cover for the back seat of my wifes RAV4 at petco. Also try a boating supply store they might have water proof bucket seat covers that would work. Drew

After hauling around our three Corgis I don't think that is humanly possible. That said, we keep the seats flat and place an LLBean throw blanket/rug kind of think on them. The boys stay on the top of the throw, the dog hair does not. Good luck.

Anyone install seat covers on the rear seats. I would really like to put some sheepskin covers on them but am on sure if a normal seatcover would work on the back seats and if you could still use the cup holder that are built in the seat. Is their a way to take the cup holders part off and put the cover under it? Any Ideas? If anyone has pictures of covers installed I would like to see them. Thanks

I would second this. They run a bit expensive, but you will get covers that fit like a glove on the factory seats and have excellent quality for years to come.

Anyone have used rear seat covers that they don't want anymore? I would like a set for my E, but I don't really want to pay the price for a new set from Honda. Besides, my dog is just going to shed on the seat covers, anyway. Email me at rojogan@nwi.net.

If you are looking for a cheap and easy to clean rear cover here is an idea... I used an old beach blanket ( any cheap blanket would do) and put it over the rear seat. I let the back have enough room to reach the back window with a little extra room. The back piece works like a gear cover/sun shade (keeps my gear out site/out a mind). I removed the head rest and reinstalled them through the beach blanket. I smoothed the beach blanket down the seat backs and made small holes for the seat belts to come through. I tucked the remaining beach blanket under the seats and along the sides. When durty the beach blanket is easy to remove and through in the wash. By staking the beach blanket in place with the headrest and seat belts my bog can no longer strip it from the seat and my seats are protected. Just a cheap idea that worked for me.

Does anyone have the OEM rear seat covers? I am looking for covers that will actually cover the back of my seat. My dogs will be in the back behind a gate and one of them has a weird nervous habit of licking the back of the seat while he's in the car, and after a while it creates this gross film of drool.

I just want to know, do they cover the back of the seat? I don't really car about the front part!

The CoverKing brand covers the entire back of the rear seats. If you're a Costco member they have a great price on them. They fit great also.

I am a new Element owner and am looking for recommendations for rear seat covers. My 95 lb. Lab decided he would prefer to sit in the seat rather than on floor and makes to sure to let us know if both the seats are up. I saw the Honda one on handa-accessories but was wondering if there was a cheaper option?

Thanks!
