I live in TN. One of the state's emissions requirements, includes the gas cap to be put on a pressurizing device, to check for leaks in the gas cap. Mine FAILED. I went to a local Honda Delearship, and told them the problem. They said they have already shipped over 400 gas caps back to Honda. Result, the gas caps were all fine. I know if the gas cap isn't on tight, the check engine light will come on. Needless to say, they replaced my gas cap, for free. It then passed the pressure test. Just an F Y I, if your state has crappy requirements.

Good information to know... This thread really grabbed my attention. Who the hell ever hears about a brand new vehicle failing an e-missions :wink: test? Glad it was something as simple (yet totally annoying) as a gas cap!
