I plan to attend the whole thing, but may be prevented from doing so due to "other" circumstances beyond my control. It's still on my "to-do" list at present.

Yeah right. I suspect Colin's attendance is contingent on the college girls showing up... :)

It's not a matter of nothing up here, it's more a matter of:

I'll be making the trip up there also. I have a few new mods underway and I should have everything completed well before the meet.

I'm in trouble. I'm just hoping that I can clean my E between now and then.

:? As it stands now, my cousins wedding is that same weekend.. I've asked them to switch it to the following. 8) But that wasn't recieved very well. lol :P

I'm trying desperately to work my way out of this wedding thing. If I can, I'll be there the whole weekend. I'd be a fool to miss this opportunity... What an awesome group of folks!!!!

Too funny!! Thanks for the idea!! But I live in Alexandria, VA; only 3 hours from G'burg. The wedding is in Boone, NC; that is over 9 hours from my house. :? I'd be HARD pressed to make it back for anything...

I'm still working on it.. He's not my favorite cousin and his mother is a sh** and mean as hell to the family. I don't think it would be tooo big of a deal to miss it..

E ON!!!
Just got my Keyless Entry installed!!!!! Woahhhhhhhhhhhh

 Sorry it's taken a couple of days to see that one, brendan, but actually it had to do with my 43 year old niece and her 91 year old grandmother! Honest. But their plans no longer require my Elemental bus services, so my odds (though not the rest of yours) have improved. And I do plan on doing everyone a favor by not washing or waxing my E, and proudly displaying the 1050 miles worth of bugs (and potential windshield cracks!), so that all of your Elements can look so much nicer. Hell, I may even leave some winter salt stains on my naked floors to show off to the wusses.

I took Monday off this week, and since the entire office didn't collapse into a black hole centered at my desk, I may be able to pull off the four days it will take to make this trip. Cheer on or cheer off. To quote the title of a fabulous Richard Thompson song: "I'm Open To Persuasion".

Heh...Richard Thompson!

"...Red hair and black leather, my favorite color scheme..."

Saw him a few months back, great show.

PS ... or maybe "favourite colour" would be more appropriate...

If the east coast keeps getting all this rain, we may have to resort to a pontoon modification for the E's in Gettysburg. Add a Honda outboard on the tailgate and away we go. New meaning to all purpose vehicle.

My very own watercraft. I guess I better not bust a bottle on the nose on its first voyage. We all know about the scratch factor.

StLouisPenguin
04-14-2004, 05:04 PM
Yeah.....plus with my known windshield luck a piece of that bottle would fly into my windshield causing yet another crack and call for yet another windshield replacement

I am practically already making out the check for the deductible.....given I will be driving cross country in less than two weeks.....I just have this feeling that windshield #4 will be calling my name!

I have not had the windshield issue to deal with yet and I hope I will not have to deal with this problem. I wonder if there is a certain point the insurance company will say enough and no longer cover the glass. I sure hope not. I put 3000 miles on my Element, last month. I have taken a couple of direct hits from small shale and the windshield is in tact with no nicks. This problem was very much a major issue when I bought the E, but I liked the Element so much I took a chance with the windshield issue. Hopefully you will not need number four. Good luck
