I'm keeping the EX headunit and am trying to utilize some Sony CD / MD changer (and maybe an Alpine changer) I already have sitting around. I'm looking for some help on what changer adapter may work (Soundgate or Blitzsafe, or whatever).

I have something posted on hondaelement.org but got no replies :(

Thanks

I would recommend this adapter from P.I.E.: http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piehon03pcson.html

That should integrate your Sony changer quite nicely.

Also, the lack of replies on hondaelement.org doesn't surprise me at all - I used to provide 99% of the answers over there until one of the mods banned me for no apparent reason - I kept asking him why and all he would say is "you know why". To this day I still don't know why - the whole thing was seriously strange.

Long story short, our Audio section here is first rate - and not just because of my own efforts (wow THAT sounded egotistical) - members like Silk, ShaneS, & Brendan are top notch. So dump that shotty old board and come hang out with us - you won't regret it!

Aww, thanks. Course, I consider myself 3rd or 4th notch... :)

I got ahold of the Soundgate SNHOND3 (http://www.logjamelectronics.com/sounsnhond3.html) adapter. It does work with the changers I happen to have on hand (MDX-65 MD and CDX-81 10-disc, both of which are not on the official Soundgate compatibility list). For MD, the track display kind of screws up after #10 but that's okay (the CD seems fine).

Another question. I know that the factory CD changer comes with a long cable that you route from the back of the radio to the bottom of the seat. Does anyone know if such a cable is available separately? This is in case I want to keep the Soundgate module somewhere else other than inside the dash.

Thanks
