Bush555 you look like someone I know.. or at least like the type who would be a friend of mine.. nice pix (drivers license?)

JeffN, beautiful pup, so the bum leg the front left? Poor thing.. so sweet. lets see a better pix of the wife.. that is so cool you guys climb together!! I admire that.. Climbing not my thing.. but I do love to hike.. I might be persuaded to jump from planes too, but i dunno climbing up a vertical rock freaks me out.. ok we all have our barriers!!

Yes after 49 years of marital bliss ,5 sons & 9 grandchildren ,we are still hammering on our bikes.. My wife Pat has set a benchmark that is difficult to match. 8) We are hoping that she takes the States again this December & qualifys to represent the State of Florida,at the nationals in Pittsburg Penn. in 2005. I thought ,by this stage in life ,I'd have a fast car & a slow wife..
In reality I have a fast wife & a slow car (our Element).
Thanks again & I want to say thanks too everyone in the club.. Y'all are a great bunch & we are happy to be a part of the EOC.

Honu.. i am so glad you said which you are.. hee.. too cute!
PS Honu.. great taste youhave there.. my E is Eternal Blue 2003 AWD EX also!

florida roadie: you are ever so welcome.. and it is a sincere compliment.. and along with staying healthy and active you two look so sweet, nice and happy.. cool.. i am so happy to see/hear that! keep it up.. wish you two an eternity of happiness & activity.. i am sure your wife will keep that up..

i love the comment that youthought at this stage in life you would have a fast car and slow wife, and have the reverse.. too cute, too cool!

I don't have a relationship with my folks but i keep tabs on what they are up to.. my father over 60 still competes in body building competitions, hikes, and keeps him self very active and very busy (he was a firefighter too).. i do love him but that feeling is not reciprocated.. such is life.. ditto with my mother.. but i fought long and hard to have a relationship i had to enjoy the joys i do have.. i just keep and eye on what they are doing via other family members.. ok enough of that. just wanted to share and relate a little..

i love nature and the outdoors, and so excited to leave the unnatural, flat, fake state of DE, and move to a more beautiful and exciting state of CO!! there is so much to do, such a health state to be in.. it will be a very welcome place to be.. a welcome change.. really the sole activity in DE is to drive several hours south to go to a nasty, filthy, overcrowded beach.. and lay there! umm i will skip that one! yuck!

I also love this board and the people who make up this board.. and huge part of that i feel is also thanks to our leader TMAC.. who has assembled, and motivated such a family feel here.. Thank you Tom!! Just had to add that.. cause i am sure he hardly gets 1/100th the appreciation he deserves.. this site is awesome, the people are awesome.. and i am just glad it is here! Thank you! oh did i express how i feel well enough.. grin!

Honu...your picture would have been the perfect choice for Honda's new "Love Honda" TV ad. I just saw the ad for the first time last night and it has split screen picture with one side of screen showing the Hondas, the other side showing a picture of the owner. Basically a take-off of how people and their dogs often look alike. At any rate (!), the Element segment had a picture of the back end of the Element...and the owner had block-style crew cut that approximated the shape of the vehicle. Your picture would have been an even better choice!

Now that you mention it I do kinda look like "MY GIANT" standing next to it. I'm 6'7" tall  Don't have to worry about headroom at all for me or my passengers. That was a big selling point for me.

I always check the head and leg room in the back seat. I guess that's because us tall guys have been cramed in the back of every uncomfortable car out there and we dont want people who ride with us to have to go through what we went through. The E! is perfect and the price is right.

People ask me what I paid for it and they often throw a number in with the question. "What did you pay for it? 27k?" I just smile and say $19,300. Resale value is going to be great :P

My previous vehicle was a Toyota T100 which i just sold to my dad.

Here's a History of my automobiles:

'03 Honda Element SMM 4cyl AWD Auto
'01 Toyota Celica 4cyl Auto (I wanted 5spd but, Wifes car) Fun on winding roads and long straight aways. Hit 122MPH then a Porsche got in my way had to slow down LOL
'94 Toyota T100 V6 Auto 200+k miles SOLD
'94 Mazda 626 4cyl 5spd 150+k miles
'92 Toyota Corolla 4cyl 180+k miles Wife's old car SOLD
'83 Datsun/Nissan 280ZX I6 5spd 280+k miles SOLD
'81 Datsun/Nissan 280ZX I6 TURBO 5spd 164+k miles KILLED (MISS MY BABY!)

nice list of cars you had there Jason.. humm i am guessing you bought those first few used.. you don't look old enough otherwise..

Funny I am 1/4" shy of 5'5" and i am always whacking my head when i get in and out of cars.. so i always felt for the tall folk.. heck if i do that, i hate to know what you all go through.

I love the E.. soo much head room.. and finally a car for tall folk too eh?? Funny i will have my short friends sit in it and they look soo tiny.. hee

but i did get a kick out of that photo of you and your E, that is too funny.. you truly dwarf it!

Brendan LOL  It is a Min E! I can't get over how much room there is inside I park next to these big Texas Trucks everyday, that barely fit between the parking place lines, that have less room in them. I drove a '04 Ford F150 Super Crew while my E was having its bumper replaced. It was wider but the E had much more head room, and much more leg room for all the passengers

Bald Eagle :?: I will have to search for that thread right now :!:

ahh so i guessed right you are a young'en! well again congrats on your E..

I know what you mean.. i must have requested my E a long time ago.. it just took them a long long time to make this one for me. in the interim.. i walked road buses till i had no choice (in DE, the buses are a joke so i had to learn to drive, and get a car).. so i went through a few vehicles till at last the E was born.. YEAH!

aww gee, vertically challenged.. i honestly would not want to be taller then i am nor shorter.. i think we all have a specific height for a reason.. my hubbie is 5'10" perfect height..

odds are your son will be 6' but height is not crucial the heart & soul are.. so fret not on height.. my father did, he was increibly upset over the song "Short People" and installed all ceiling lights right at his height in the house.. so anyone taller would knock their head.. he had a total napoleon complex.. big time.. sad, very sad.. he is a very handsome man and could have been so much more!! oh well, eh!

I like the song "Short People." If you listen to the lyrics, specifically in the middle of the song, you'll notice it's actually against stereotypes and prejudice. And I think Randy Newman is actually short.

Terrific photos, PaddleMe!! Hmmm... Can't recall any of Dan in an action sequence like yours. Also can't wait to see the pix of your Mom's house to see if it's as cool as Dan's Mom's...

Somewhere in the back of my mind I can here the first chords of "Dueling Banjoes" begining to play! Or...maybe you are auditioning for a new Warren Miller movie???

Remember: you want to keep the side with the hole facing up!

Enjoyable pictures and yes, the GGM is handsome (and way too clean btw).

 It's a 54 caliber Hawk, the Turtle shell is being made into a Story Bone Pouch. Rattle the Bones, shake them out onto a Beaver pelt, then begin the Story.
If you happen to have a sharp eye you would notice the Hawk Skull on top of my Story Pole. It was found as I wandered the Trails around the Cascades.
