This is a few pics of my New 2004 EX AWD with Thule racks and my windsurf gear.

I can get 8 foot masts and sails inside between the seats with one of the back seats folded up. If I flatten the front seat I can use the cup holders.

Rack is actually a little flimsy compared to one that straps on to the gutters. You got to get used to seeing the nose of the board wiggle more than I am used to.

I used to have the same setup on a Geo Prism. But the rack had bigger pedestals and they strapped around the car. This one just bolts into the same place the factory rack bolts. I wish I could spread the racks further apart. The big board is 12.5 feet. It would wiggle less.

The box would come in handy to put the sails in. You could put more passengers inside with a box on top. Probably my next investment with a fairing too.

Maybe the box would stabilize the rack a little too.

Meh - even I don't bother removing the rear sunroof to change into or out of my wetsuit! I just do it between sheds in my neighbor's yard at the beach. Keep the women and children indoors! :-P

Gee, I wonder if sharmony is still around.

Here's an interesting set up. Not an Element, but than again I'm not a windsurfer.:D

Way cool, IRV! I read his whole thing waaaay back when, when it was new, but still very appealing! (How two old guys stumbled across the same story is interesting, though!)

Plus, I don't wear a wetsuit for windsurfing, but on my Hobie Cat when the water temps are still in the "shrinkage" range!
