Hey I think grille guards are nice looking for sure. I had gone through 4 of them on my Isuzu Trooper. ( I kept having to take most of them back because all of the paint kept flaking off and rusting like hell.) It was under warranty after all. Finally got one that I never had any problems with in that area. HOWEVER, they are heavy ( most of them. ) Also requires someone who knows what they are doing when they put them on. ( I have had a few disasters there ).
They DO make your vehicle ride a little different because of their weight. I noticed a difference in handling for sure. It wasn't terrible but it was there and I had to live with it or get rid of the brush guard. Mine was put on correctly and very well by a qualified mechanic. The truck had a bit of a "shimmy" in the front end at high speeds. The Element isn't a powerful little truck/car so I would hope if one were manufactured that it would not be too heavy and ruin the performance of the vehicle.
