: FINALLY - a picture of Hellcat (remember me?) and Lucy!

This is when I was in Iowa in January working on a political campaign. (I think you can guess which.)

Lucy has been wonderful for 10 months for me now, but I never appreciated her more than in Iowa's rough weather. (Well, rough compared to Texas weather. I understand winter was really quite mild when I was there.)

That's me, holding Henry, my sweet old wire-haired fox terrier, who loves Lucy too.

I must say you have great tastes in cars and dogs! Our soon to be 10 yrs. old wire hair loves our SOP ES-S too.

Jim (who has had three wire haired fox terriers since 1969)

I recall that you initially explained your anticipated lengthy absence here due to some illnesses or such in your family. May we surmise you'll be back on the boards here more often? Your wit and enthusiasm have been missed long enough.

EOC and the wondrous Element have never been far from my mind, even though life has taken me away from posting here for way too long.

I'm not sure I'm any more settled in right now, but I can share that my father's health seems to be stabilized for now, and he continues to have a love of life and happy spirit that gets him through each day. That's all we can hope for. My dad's a fighter, and very very dear. When he's not being a cantankerous old poot.

Politicking is, for me, sadly, over for now, but I'm glad I did it. It was a wonderful experience.

I'm back in Dallas and tackling grad school and summer work now, and still hoping to relocate soon to (1) Washington DC, (2) Chicago or (3) Seattle. I love all those places, for different reasons, and want to pack up catz and dog and parents and betta fish and all my junk, and drive Lucy out of here. I'm ready for new horizons. Know anyone who needs a contract attorney, paralegal or law library assistant in any of those places? Contact me and I'll slap my resume on them before you can say "Elements Rule!"

Let's see, what else can I say? Lucy is actually overdue for her 10k mile and has continued to be an absolute delight to drive, own, and brag about. I think I reported about that baseball-sized rock hitting the windshield and doing a number on her. That was scary. But that's been my one and only problem with Lucy and really that rock would have demolished *any* windshield.

I still honk and wave at Element owners all around. I think we ought to have a special Element hang signal - like flashing a gang signal! haha!

I've seen a few of the Toyota Scion Boxy Thangs around I have a special signal for them too: I hold my nose. Forgive me for being snobby, but those cars are just FUGLY!

I want to hear all about how our Usual Suspects of EOC Regulars are doing. Report in and tell me all your E-Doings!

Love and hugs to all from me and Lucy!
