Hope this works. Special thanks to Empire for his insight on how things would come together.

Very nice!
Have you had the set up long enough to record before/after gas mileage?
Especially highway MPG?

Hey, good job!
That's the MegaWarrior basket isn't it?

I bought most of my accessories off of ebay. The Aries brush guard was the latest buy after seeing how well Empires looked. It is an easy install maybe 20 minutes with an extra hand to lift the guard while the bolts are screwed together. It was priced pretty reasonably on this site http://www.suvxccessory.com/xccessory/2003-honda-element.html and they delivered it pretty fast as well.

The basket is a Yakima LoadWarrior with a basket extension mounted on a Thule rack. It barely fits due to the lack of space between the roof brackets. I love the basket though, it has a tough look and has tons of room. I went on a trip recently and put all of the luggage in a roof bag that had plenty of space with the full spare.

The wheels were another story. It took months of deliberation. I thought about other honda wheels like the Accord EX and Pilot EX wheels but it was cheaper to order these gunmetal grey Montegi wheels from a company in Ohio that sells them on Ebay. The color of the wheels look great with the DX body panels. They were only $360 with free shipping. The tires are 235/70R/16 Firestone Destination LE.

Oh, my gas mileage has never been that great with or without the basket. I always seem to get 18/22. My engine must have come from the guzzler batch that others have mentioned.

This is a great site that has helped me out big time. I bought my E in March of last year and rarely saw any others in and around Nashville. However, in the last two months I have seen two to three different Es every other week. They are starting to multiply like crazy but I still try to stand out.

Ah, that explains the longer look of it.

Nice E

Can you tell us a lil bit about your lower fog lights brand and price.

Thx, haj

I used the same $20 Walmart fog lights mentioned in post a few months back. I can't remenber the topic or thread. I know it is located on this site somewhere.

good choice on the destination LEs and looks like you wisely mounted them with the white lettering inside! they ride smoother and are a great bargain. i would pick them too but i want a little more aggressive sidewall look, so i am planning on bridgestone at revos. i got the local firestone dealer to match the $106 tirerack price and they are offering a $50 rebate on a set of four if you buy by the 22nd of may.

no rubbing with your 235s i assume?

No rubbing at all. The 235 size looks alot better on the E. Gives it some muscle when retaining the stock wheel size.

Have you noticed decrease in acceleration due to taller overall ratio?
I could tell after switching to 225/70 Destination LEs takes longer to accelerate to speed. I assume 235s would be more noticeable.

Another issue, what air pressure are you running?
At first I ran HOnda recommended pressure, and tires felt mushy when turning. Had to up them to 38/40 to tighten them up.

Haven't noticed any big change in acceleration. However, a couple of months ago I installed a K & N filter. I seem to accelerate fine from 0 to 50. The big problem is on the highway. I know I will be fighting the gas peddle on the highway most of the time but that's mainly because my E is a very large box fighting the wind. I still love the slow box though. I used to drive my 3 kids around in a Ford Windstar with a large V6. It was fast but I was like some soccer mom carrying around the kids and there friends. The E turned me back into a cool Dad. Plus I don't have to argue all the time about whose friend gets to tag along. Now I just say sorry we only have four seats. My 5yr old son loves the E. He calls it a vehicle and everything else is a car. He checks out everything from his high back seat. He always opts for the ride with the view instead of my wife's car that has him at eye level with the window seal. When I pick my daughter up from High School all the kids are checking out the E. I guess that's why everyone around here is buying them up.

I too noticed that it seemed to require a lot of pressure on the gas to keep up speed. On the other hand, the cruise control comes in handy when I get annoyed about it.

What is the extension needed for? I am thinking about getting one now.

I think the center extension adds another 18" to the LoadWarrior.
I'd actually like to see pics where someone mounted the MegaWarrior basket just to see how the shape of the roof looks with it.

Ah, atlast my hordes of Stormtroopers are amassing.

Empire, I wanted a Mega Warrior instead of the basket I bought. The Mega with an extension would look awesome. It's the right length and width. I found an old post by Eltoro that shows one mounted on an E but he used a track system instead of the stock mounting points. http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1716&highlight=mega+warrior

The Mega with extension would of cost a good bit more than what I bought my setup for. I found a guy that had a large stock of Load Warriors with extensions that were removed from new Ford Explorers. I couldn't pass up free shipping. Plus, I won the bid low enough that the extension was free. I only had to peel the Explorer Sport stickers off the plexi glass.
